My cell phone rang and I noticed it was the doctor. I answered it and said, give me some good news. "He said" I took Cat off the ventilator. She is breathing on her on with oxygen. Now it's up to her when she wakes up. As I walked into the room I noticed my brother Kevin sitting beside Cat staring at her. "I asked, what are you doing here?" He said I couldn't stay away from her. He looked at Braden and asked. "Doesn't she remind you of someone?" I said, no why? Kevin sighed and hung his head looking at his hands. "He said she looks like my dead mate." I turned my head and looked at Cat. I couldn't believe it but he was right. Cat does look like his dead mate Katrina. I said dam," Kevin. I didn't realize until now. Are you going to be able to deal with Cat being around?" He looked at me and said. Braden, she is an angel to me. She brings back good memories of Katrina. Don't worry, I know she is not Katrina and I don't have those types of feelings for her. Just looking at her pisses me off that someone would try to kill her. Katrina was my world and maybe someday I will find my second chance mate too.

Kevin asked looking at me. "You wouldn't mind if I come in her and sat with her sometimes maybe read to her?" I said I don't mind if you do. I said Cat loved to read. She especially loved murder mysteries and recently she has been reading the history of wolves and leopards. He said, if you show me what she has been reading I will read a few chapters a day to her. I said I will get the books for you. I said, Kevin are you alright. He said I am fine. It makes me happy that you found your second chance mate and she is as beautiful as Katrina was. I said thanks and walked out the door to go and get the books for Kevin. I felt sad for him. He and Katrina had only been mated and married for three years when she was killed. Katrina was also 3 months pregnant with their first child. I still can't believe a fucking drunk driver hit her car so hard and she flipped and hit a tree. She was killed instantly and that fucker walked away without a scratch. I know that if Katrina was still alive she and Cat would be best friends. I also know they would give us a run for our money sometimes.

I walked to her room and grabbed two of the books and took them to Cat's room and handed them to Kevin. Katrina has loved listening to Kevin read. I said I have to go Cat's parents and brother just arrived. We will be back. Kevin grinned and started reading to Cat. I met Cat's family at the door. They asked how she was. I said the doctor took her off the ventilator and she is breathing on her on but on oxygen. They said, can we see her? I said yes follow me. We could hear Kevin's soft voice as he was reading to Cat. Her mother asked, who is that? I said one of my brother's Kevin. She said, he has a very nice voice. I told her his mate loved hearing him reading to her before she was killed. I warned them that Cat looked like his mate but he has no interest in Cat other than as a sister in law. Her mom grinned and said. "Maybe Cat's looks can give him some piece." As we enter the room I heard Kevin say, I will read a few more chapters tomorrow but right now your family has come to visit with you. I introduced him to her parents and brother and Cat's mom said. You have a very nice reading voice. I am sure Cat is enjoying you reading to her. Kevin smiled and thanked her and then said, I will come back and read to her tomorrow. It was nice to meet you all. He then walked out the door and down the hall towards the main living quarters.

Jarrod asked if we had any news yet. I said some so if your dad and you would like to meet with my father sister and brothers in my office after dinner we can talk about what has been going on. I said I will leave you to visit with Cat. You know how to get to the main house right? "they said, yes we do. We will see in a few hours." I turned and walked out of the room and went to my office. I passed Shane on my way there and let him know his family was visiting with Cat. He said thanks I will head that way and see you later. I went to my office and started to read the files on Amy's teammates. I wondered if I had missed something. Randle called me hopping mad. "He said if that fucking Cory was here right now and Leo I would tear them to pieces." I asked why what happened. He said they are talking about your mate. "I asked what do you mean." He said they know what is happening to her and they both said, they wouldn't mind fucking her before she dies. I growled and yelled those piece of shits." Randle said man you have to remain calm."

He reminded me that we can't let them know we are onto them. I took some breathes and said," I can't be there when they are arrested. I will turn into my leopard and kill them instantly. I said Cat's brothers, my brothers, and dad and Cats dad will assist you along with Shane's soldiers. I don't know who we can trust or not trust yet. We have to find that mole." He sighed and said, "I know and I am working on it". I said before hanging up my sister is going to help too. She is looking for a fight. He laughed and said this going to get interesting. I said, yes it is. I then said keep me posted. I lay my head back against my chair when I heard a small knock on my door. I said come in. I saw the top of a head coming running in then she went between my legs laughing and said, "don't tell them where I am". I grinned down as she hid under my desk and said Precious why are you hiding?
