I walked out of my bedroom and got something to eat. As I sat there my mind wondering how the arrest went, I felt a tug on my jeans. "Precious said daddy hold me. I picked her up and she cuddled against me. She said daddy when is mommy going to wake up?" I said I don't know sweetie but I hope it is soon. She kissed my cheek and got down running over to Lance. I saw the love that Lance and his men had for her. I sighed and thought. She is going to be a looker when she grows up and Lance and his men will be even more protective of her. Lance walked over and reminded me that he and his team will be leaving this weekend and will be gone for two weeks. "He said, that if anything happens to let him and the team know." I nodded my head and watched him walk away with Precious in his arms. I finished my coffee and walked to the medical floor to visit with Cat.

As I was walking down the hall I heard Kirk my brother reading to Cat. He has continued to read to her after breakfast, lunch, dinner and before bed. I felt proud of how he has done that even though he really doesn't know her. It seems as if just being around Cat has helped him remain calm, something he hasn't been since his mate and baby was killed. I pray that he finds a second chance mate because he deserves to be happy. As I entered the room I heard Kirk say, well Cat it is time for me to stop reading because Braden will be here in a few minutes. He said you have to wake up Cat. "Braden and the kids need you. You see, Braden is lost without you. He misses your laughter, your smile and holding you in his arms." Then I heard. Cat can you hear me? Did you move your hand? Please do it again. He yelled doctor come quick." I have to call Braden." I looked at my phone and it was Kirk.

I said, yes Kirk I am coming. He said to hurry. I think I saw Cat move her hand. I ran down the hall letting him think I had not heard him. As I entered the room, the doctor was looking Cat over. He lifted her eyelids and saw movement. He said Cat open your eyes, open them now. When Cat opened her eyes she looked straight at Kirk. She tried to talk but with her mouth dry she couldn't so the doctor gave her a drink of water. She asked, "who are you?" Kirk said I am Braden's oldest brother. She said "I heard you reading to me. I enjoyed it. You have a nice voice. Where is Braden?" I walked to the bed and said, right here baby. She looked at me and smiled. I said "I missed that smile." She said I missed you. She looked at the doctor and asked what happened to me? How long have I been asleep? The doctor explained everything. I told her that the people involved have been arrested. I also told her that not only my family was here but so is her's. I then said, your brother Shane arrived here with his soldiers very angry ready to destroy my compound. She laughed and said," that would be Shane and he would have too if he didn't like you."

Kirk said I am going to leave you alone with Braden and tell the family that you are awake. I thanked Kirk and we watched him walk out of the room with a smile on his face. I leaned down and kissed Cat saying, I can't wait to have you back in my arms and our bed. She giggled and said, "I can't either" . I then sat down and took her hand in mine. Cat I said, we have some news for you. "She said what is it? Is everyone alright?" I said everyone is fine. This is happy news I hope. I said Cat, you're pregnant. Her eyes widened and she looked at her tummy and she smiled and looked at me. "She asked, how far along?" I said two months. She said "Braden we're going to have a baby. She said this is exciting news. Then she asked if the baby was alright". I said the baby is fine he or she is growing. As I finished telling her about the baby we heard a lot of running feet coming down the hall. We looked up as her brother's mom and dad, Lance, Precious, and the boys came in. We heard more running feet and in came David and his mate, Lana and her mate, and my family.

Everyone was so excited to see Cat awake. The kids ran and climbed on the bed giving her hugs and kisses. "They yelled mommy we missed you so much. " They lay on the bed with her until they fell asleep. Their mates picked them up and took them to their rooms and put them in bed. Cat looked up just as the doctor walked into the room. He said, Cat can leave in the morning. "I want to see you in two weeks to see how you are doing." He then walked out of the room. Everyone else said good night and left leaving her alone with Braden. Braden took his shoes off and climbed up on the bed pulling Cat close to him. He leaned down and kissed her making her pant and want more. "He said, when I get you out of here and back to our room I am going to make love to you all day" . Cat smiled and said, I would like that very much. I missed you. She looked at him and asked. "Why did your brother who doesn't know me sit and read to me every day?" Braden looked at her and told her about Kirk's mate. She said, "that is really sad. I hope that one day he will find happiness" . She lay her head down on Braden's chest and listened as he told her about everything that has happened while she was sick.

I looked down and saw that Cat had fallen asleep. I lay there watching her and smiled. I have my mate back. I am going to make sure that everyone is punished for what they did to Cat. Her brothers are angry and want a fight. I am angry that men and women I trusted tried to kill my mate and daughter, and thought they could take my company from me. Cat's uncle who is the judge is angry too. He is deciding the best way to deal with this matter." He stated, treason alone is grounds for them to die" . I also was thinking about her previous mate Jordan. I need to find out if he was really involved in this. If he was, I will have to do something about him. I also had not told Cat that I had bought some property and had built her the log cabin that would sleep, everyone. It is a surprise for her. There are about 14 or 15 bedrooms. Plenty of bed's a few rooms with two or three beds in them.
