"Oh look here he comes," Sure enough the tallish guy walks through the door, his long blonde hair is pulled back in a ma bun and his blue eyes practically drill holes into my head as he watches me, I freeze completely confused before ducking and looking at my fingernails.
"Hey," I hear his voice as the chair next to me scrapes against the cold floor, I look over at Libby in panic but she stares back with both confusion, jealousy and panic also. "Hi," I squeak out, my eyes going to Jessica who sits straight, staring at the boy next to me.
"Hey so, like I was wondering if you wanted to sit with me at lunch, you seem cool." I suck in a deep breath, "Sure, but I can leave my friend." I point out Libby trying to draw the attention to her but to no avail, by now, everyone is staring at me which only changes when Miss walks through the door.
I shrink in my seat, "You have a man, stop getting them all," Libby hisses, not in a vicious way however, "I don't want him, you can have him. I have Titus," I hiss back, trying not to draw attention to me. "Awwww." Libby coos loudly into the silent classroom causing me to go completely red as everyone stares at us.
"Care to share?" Miss questions as she stares at us, Libby shakes her head looking back at the desk stifling a laugh, "We were talking about how we really want puppies," I rush out, to which Libby nods.
"That is an out of lesson conversation, don't have it during this crucial time." I nod, biting my lip anxiously as I look down at my sheet, "I hate you," I hiss at Libby causing her to laugh quietly, "I bet you $20 that your guard dog is telling your mans about the fact you want a dog, and you're gonna go back and there's gonna be one waiting for you."
"That's not true, Titus probably hates dogs." I say however that's a bit messed up, isn't a dog the cousin of the wolf. "Eh, he seems more like the 'I hate cats' type." Now that would make sense.
By the time Lunch rolls around I'm already absolutely exhausted. I almost fall asleep against the lockers, "Hey, you still sitting with us?" I hear Joey's voice, I stare behind him to see the rest of the football team and most of the cheerleaders half of which are glaring at me "Yep." I say fearing for my life as I side glance over to Jessica.
"So, Amity." Joey says catching my attention, as I look up from the desk, the food here is so expensive, so I never have anything to eat during lunch, "Yea?" I reply with a small smile. Immediately my eyes go to Jessica who sits next to Libby in silence however she watches over the even with cautious eyes.
"Have you got a date to prom yet? I'm sure you have a line of guys waiting to ask you." He speaks causing Libby to perk up "That's what I said," She almost shouts before going red and looking down causing me to laugh. "I- I'm not sure." I answer truthfully, I mean, are the school teachers really gonna allow a twenty something year old man to be a date of a student? Probably not.
"Well, if-," He's quickly cut off by Jessica who speaks for the first time as she hands me her phone "It's A- Titus." She quickly fixes her mistake. I take the phone from her hand excusing myself. "Hi." I say into the speaker .
"I swear if he touches you I will cut off his balls and feed them to him." I hear an unhappy growl from the other side of the phone, "Nice to speak to you too." I respond with a giggle.
