Rorion was shocked.

Noticing that, the friend said coldly, “Well, it depends on who your daughter offended.”

“It’s just my ex-wife’s student.”

“In that case, you should find out whether your ex-wife’s student has any powerful connections, or you can ask your ex-wife to figure it out.”

Rorion was reluctant to meet Hathaway, for that would mean that he needed to pocket his pride and tell her that he couldn’t save Kathleen by himself. Furthermore, he had said awful things and even laid his hands on her. If he went to her, she would definitely give him the long face, so they couldn’t sit down together and discuss how to save their daughter.

“Good.” Pleased, Nicholas nodded and instructed, “Keep an eye on this matter. I don’t want to hear about Kathleen being released early after a few days.”

“Sure,” Edward answered affirmatively with a nod.

In the end, Rorion still couldn’t think of any other way and went to the theater to find Hathaway.

As soon as Hathaway saw him, she put on a long face. “Why are you here?”

“Do you think I’d be willing to be here if it’s not for Kathleen?” While slashing her with his words, he shamelessly sat on her desk chair. “I’ve been looking for people to save Kathleen for the past two days, and she’s supposed to be released today, but the police suddenly went back on their words. I can’t think of any other way now, so I want you to find your connections and save Kathleen.”

“I’ve already looked into my connections, but all my friends are not so capable of doing such things…” Hathaway was blaming herself too when they were talking about this.
