I couldn’t believe what I just saw. I ran to mine, then I followed them. They didn’t care about me. I was more than happy about that. They drove to closed house complex. I parked outside. Fortunately, they didn’t drive in further. I could see clearly. They left his car, and he held her in his embrace, They kissed. He didn’t let her go, not for a second. Even if she had a different hair colour, and her hair was much longer than before, I recognised her. It was her. It was Alice herself. She was thinner, more muscular, but still recognizable. 

1 lowered my head, then I smiled, I smiled, because I was happy for my stupid brother. Should I call him stupid? No. He loved a woman, and he didn’t give up on her, not even when everyone else said he should have done that. Not even when everyone said she must be dead, not even if he needed to face our biggest enemy. He won, he had her back. 

I was thinking about Leah. If I was Gideon, would I do the same? Yes, definitely yes. I would die for her. Just like Gideon would die for Alice. 

I knew it would be a long night, but I made myself comfortable in the car, and I watched the house.

I walked down, and I thought about probably my dad was going to wait for me at home. I didn’t know what I would say. Honestly, I thought I would sell my house as well, to buy a nice place on an isl 

island. For us. To live undisturbed. Happily. 

I was about to reach my car when I saw a familiar figure. He stood at his car and stared at me. Great. I thought. I quickly tried to think about what I would say. While he walked to me,

“Oh really? That would be a huge mistake to ignore me, as I want to help you and Alice.” 

I locked at him suddenly. I didn’t understand him at first, but his lips curled into a smile, and I couldn’t help. 1 hugged him, and he hugged me back. 

“I’m sorry Gideon.” He said, still holding me tight. 

Those words nearly made me cry, so I just hugged him tighter too, avoiding him to see how emotional I felt. 

We let each other go after a while. 

“How come you are here?” I asked, but he looked at 

at me with

“Do you seriously think that my daughter would keep anything hidden from me?” 

I smiled, then I looked at the ground while I shook my head. 

“Don’t blame her, Gideon, she tried so hard.” 

“I would never blame her.” I chuckled, 

“Good”

“He ordered me to find you. Find out who you are with, and make that woman disappear. He ordered me to make you understand you said. And he wants you to get Amber into the family. He even said if I wasn’t okay with this, I can divorce Leah to get Amber.” 

I frowned: That sounded like my dad gone mad. 

“Why? Why would he want her to get into the family that much?” I was really confused. 

“This was my question, too. The only answer that I can think of is he’s got something to do with Amber’s family. Something serious.”

“Not mine anymore. He accepted me. He accepted the fact that I’m with his daughter and that is all that matters for me.” 

He shook his head in disbelief 

“Gideon… that is betraying.” He stated that quetly. 

“No, and do you know what? I had to leave yesterday because he invited me for dinner. Believe it or not they are exactly the same loving family that we used to be. I sat there and I was thinking of how meaningless our enmity is. We are the same and in this case actually our aim is the same too.” 

“Gideon, are you hearing yourself?” 

“Yes. Just think about it Seth. Dad isn’t like this. He loves his family, he is loving us. I’m sure there is something that makes him do this. He doesn’t want us to know about that so probably that is something that he isn’t proud of. The Adams‘ are blackmailing him for sure. We have to find out what is behind it, and I’m sure Riccardo would help us.”
