Under Charles' bone-piercingly cold gaze, Collin put down the cappuccino and crossed his arms on the table. "Anyway, based on my investigation in the last two years, I realized that Ms. Jones' intentions are truly terrifying. She may be gorgeous and have received a good education, but if you marry a woman like her in the future, you might not even know how you died!”

"The police have compared the recording. It's Sophia's voice, not a fake." Charles stood up, looked down at him from a condescending height, and said coldly, "You can't prove Sophia's innocence if the recording isn’t fake, right?"

Collin felt extremely uneasy under his gaze. He squirmed in his seat a few times, then stood up as well. He coughed twice and said, "I think that the recording may have been pre-recorded in a game that Ms. Jones and Ms. White played together in the past. This is just my speculation, though, just like how I speculated that the car wasn’t Ms. White’s. I need to use a lot of time and effort to search for clues and verify them."

Not long after the rain stopped, the sun came out, and the sky became clear and blue.

Charles lowered his eyes. The sun shone on his thick eyelashes, casting a shadow on his face. He stood at a spot where the sun was shining in, yet looked as though he was shrouded in darkness. This sight of him would trigger heart palpitations in anyone.

The coffee shop’s furnishings were soft and cozy, the green plants visually attractive. The scent of coffee rose in spirals. It would be a bliss to sit here and have a cup of hot drink.

Right now, however, Collin felt particularly agonizing standing in front of Charles. In the end, he could not hold back anymore and broke the silence. "Mr. Harris, this is all I can do.

"I understand that you are not satisfied, but I can only return you half of the money you paid me. After all, I can't just..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Charles sat down and signed a check, then stood up and stuffed the check into his hand. “Proceed with the investigation."

Collin glanced at the amount written on the check and grinned from ear to ear. "Don't worry, I will notify you as soon as possible if I find anything."

Charles nodded and left with a slightly sunken expression hanging on his good-looking face. His tall figure looked somewhat forlorn from the back.

Back in Dream Club, throwing Manager Jim out was just the beginning. The next thing that happened got the onlookers hyped up.

Tiffany was cursing when she was seized and dragged downstairs. It was inexplicably incongruous to hear curse words coming out of her beautiful face.

"I’ll f*ck your mother. Let go of me. F*cking take your filthy hands off of me!!"

"F*ck your ancestors!

"Motherf*cker, I’ll kill you!”

Sterling sneered and walked over, swaying the vase in his hand. He stood in front of Tiffany who was constantly hurling abuses. "So you’re the one who locked the rooftop door on purpose?"

Tiffany raised her head and said arrogantly, "Do you have any evidence? If you don’t, then don’t f*cking bullsh*t me!"

Megan had returned by then and was currently standing in the lobby. After hearing what she said, her face turned dreadful as she stepped forward and said, “If you were not the one who locked the door, then why did you tell me that Sophia would never return again?"

"Motherf*cker. You f*cking b*tch. I’ll f*ck your mother, Megan!" Tiffany broke out of the hold of the two security guards and charged at Megan with a ferocious look on her face.

Before she could get to Megan, Sterling gave her a kick in her stomach and sent her staggering several steps backward. She leaned against the big vase for support before falling to the ground.

Ryleigh came back down not long after she went upstairs. She craned her neck standing among the crowd and said in an eccentric manner, "Mr. White kicked her before he even proved whether she’s really the one who locked the door. Is he not afraid of hitting the wrong person?"

Sterling had always been a man who would resort to his fists and not his tongue. He turned his head and glared at her, raising his fist in a threatening manner, "Why don’t you try and say that again!"

This man had never been a reasonable person. Moreover, he would hit anyone regardless of their gender. Ryleigh twirled her body around unwillingly but dared not speak another word.

Despite that, there were also rich sons here who were fearless. One of them echoed the words that Ryleigh said earlier. "Mr. White, aren’t you just using your force to bully others? What are you going to do if you hit the wrong person..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Tiffany clambered up from the floor and yelled whilst pointing at Megan, "B*tch, is Sophia your mother? Why are you trying to lick her boots! I admit that I locked Sophia that b*tch on the rooftop. What are you going to do?!"
