At this point, Sterling stopped talking suddenly, then leaned in toward the camera and let out a quizzical ‘eh’ sound.

Sophia suddenly recalled what happened last night and pulled her clothes up while maintaining her composure.

"Sophia White!!! I saw it even if you cover it up!" Sterling sprung up, the screen was exceedingly shaky because of his movements. "You, you, you, you, you actually... You make me so mad!"

"What kind of enticing spell did that fox Charles Harris put you under? He did so many things to you and you still slept with him?!"

Sophia was planning to tell him about this when she conceived but did not expect him to discover it so soon. "Sterling, I..."

"Oh, I remember now, it was because you lied to Master Harris that you were pregnant, am I right?!" Sterling was already in a state of emotional breakdown. "You can opt for IVF, no? Technology is so advanced right now, you don’t have to sleep with him!"

Seeing that he was getting more and more emotional, Sophia cut him off helplessly. "Listen to me, Sterling."

It’s not like Soph is cheating on anyone. So what if she sleeps with Mr. Harris? Just pretend she was sleeping with a gigolo, I don’t see what’s the big deal here!"

After saying those words, she turned to look at Sophia and said softly, "I read the news. It’s understandable why Mr. Harris did those things back then. Since things have turned out this way now, I think you can give him a chance. This will be the best outcome for both of you.”

"Mm." Sophia did not want to dwell on this topic and changed the subject. "I'm planning to go back to White residence."

Nicole was overjoyed when she heard what she said, "You have decided to come back, have you? That’s good. When are you planning to come back? Your brother and I will come and pick you up."

"No need, I'll ask Charles to send me there." Sophia said, "Nicole, you are a top student in financial management, can you recommend a few books on the basics in this area?"

Nicole listed out a bunch of them to her then said, "Don’t bother remembering them. I will order a few copies from the Internet and deliver them to our place. You can just come over and read them directly and ask me questions if you don’t understand anything"

They then talked about all the trivial things in life. Sophia made the twins laugh for a while before hanging up the video call.

She put her phone away and got out of bed, trudging downstairs to discuss with Charles about her plans to return to White residence. After searching all over the place for him, she finally found him in the laundry room.

The washing machine was vibrating slightly, whereas Charles was standing by the washing machine staring at it. There was a tiny arc hanging on the corner of his mouth.

At the sight of his expression, Sophia could probably guess what was in the washing machine. Her body stiffened a little before walking in.

"Why did you come downstairs?" Charles turned to look at her when he heard the sound of footsteps, then walked to her side, rubbing her waist naturally.

The strength he used was stronger than Sophia’s, the way he massaged it was really comfortable as well. However, she still found it difficult to get used to the close contact between them, hence her taking a few steps back.

"You will hit the door at this rate." Charles curved up the corners of his lips helplessly, then grabbed her hand and dragged her toward him.
