Charles had always been a harsh and ruthless leader. Sylvia knew that replacing him with someone else as Harris Corporation’s chairman would do her no good.

However, the Harris family would be done for as well if news of the company being involved in human experiments broke out. That would be disadvantageous for her as well.

Sylvia did not like her choices, and so she quickly said, “Calm down first. Charles is my grandson, I know him very well. He’s a workaholic, there’s no way he would give everything up just for a woman…”

The person on the other end of the phone interrupted her exasperatedly, “He had already put the word out that as long as nobody in the Harris family stops him from destroying the Jones family, he would split all his shares among the rest of the family.”

“Apart from that, if anyone finds out who I am, he would hand over all his assets to the person as well! In case you didn’t know, he has already lost his mind!”

Sylvia had not known about this, and she was stunned when she heard this.

“Mr. Harris, this is out of our control. We received a call from our headquarters asking us to postpone the repayment period. Aside from that, the interest rate will be calculated according to the usual calculation rate instead of the penalty rate for breaching their contract.”

“I’m not too sure about the specifics but I was told that if a listed company like Jones Group suddenly file for bankruptcy, it would surely cause an uproar among small shareholders. Besides, it would affect B City’s local fiscal revenue as well as cause certain losses to the local finance market.”

“If you really want to ask what’s going on, all I can say is that someone up there is helping Jones Group. As for who it is, I’m not too sure myself because the headquarters didn’t say much either. Though, there’s a possibility that they’re not too sure themselves either.”

Jones Group had no problems with their overall business operation, they were just facing a series of financial issues caused by their broken capital chain after falling into White Industries’ trap.

If the bank no longer exerted pressure and on top of that, provided them financial assistance, Jones Group would have no problem resuming business operations.
