The men who came to kidnap her heard the police sirens and panicked. They rushed back into their car and disregarding others’ safety, they drove into another car to make way for themselves to flee.

Master Harris did not want to reveal his identity, and so he left with his men before the police arrived.

The remaining bodyguards stopped their SUV’s by the roadside and began searching for Sophia.

There was not much covering by the road and it would not take long for them to reach the bushes where Sophia was hiding.

Sophia gulped nervously as she furrowed her brows and studied her surroundings.

As long as she could hide herself from these bodyguards, she could borrow a phone from someone later and give Dr. Hemingway a call.

However, the problem now was that… it was practically impossible for her to stay hidden.

“Search over there, there’s nowhere for her to hide here.”

“Everyone, please try to help and search for the young mistress. She’s intellectually disabled so she might be in danger if she gets lost.”

She heard a group of people talking and footsteps nearing the bushes.

Sophia bit her lip as her heart raced against her chest. There were not a lot of coverings here, and with so many people, they would be able to find her soon enough.

“Don’t worry, don’t you see the bushes ahead? She’s probably just hiding there because she was frightened just now.”

“We can’t help but be anxious, our task is to protect our young mistress. If anything happens to her, even if our master doesn’t blame us, we won’t be able to face ourselves.”

The sound of the bodyguards and the friendly passers-by sounded from not far away.

Sophia clenched her fists as the frown on her face deepened.
