“The doctors are probably just worried because you have been running around lately, that’s why… Oh my goodness, wow! Sophia, look! Over there!”

Clara stopped mid-sentence and pointed out the window as she screamed out to Sophia.

Confused as to why Clara was suddenly so excited, Sophia turned to look in the direction where she was pointing and was immediately stunned.

There was a hot-air balloon floating in the sky not far away, with a huge blown-up photo of Charles and Sophia that they took in the past, and floating alongside the hot air balloon was countless colorful balloons.

The hot air balloon continued rising until a huge banner rolled down——

[Sophia White, will you marry me?]

[You can’t say no.]

The hospital immediately began buzzing. Some ran out the corridor to take pictures while some who were outside the hospital clamored——

“Say yes! Say yes!”

“Wait a minute, isn’t Sophia already dead?”

“Do you not watch the news? They already clarified that she’s still alive! She only faked her death back then to avoid being killed!”

“How romantic! Mr. Harris really is the perfect man!”

“D*mn it, I’m suddenly regretting getting married so young…”

“Come on Sophia, say yes!”

The hospital that was usually peaceful and quiet was instantly filled with joyful shouts.

The commotion was so loud that some of the hospital staff rushed out to try to maintain some sort of order amongst the crowd, and even security had to come over with a loudspeaker. “This is a hospital and we have patients trying to rest, please be quiet! Please cut down the noise!!!”

Since the crowd that had gathered outside were either patients or family members of patients, they immediately left after hearing this.

Sophia could not help but furrow her brows. This was a hospital, and the last thing she wanted was to disturb the other patients.

Then, Clara pointed to the front again and covered her mouth as she gasped, “Sophia, look!”

Flowers decorated both sides of the corridor, and there was a sign stuck in the middle of the road that wrote ‘walk down this path that leads to my heart’.

“How did he get everything ready in half a day?!” Clara exclaimed in shock, “He must have been very persistent…”

However, Sophia did not even look at the flowers. Instead, she bit her lip as she slowly walked into the hospital room.

The curtains in the room were drawn and there were flowers and candles all set up on the floor. It was beautiful.

When she stepped into the room, Sterling had his back against her and was in the middle of a phone call. “Didn’t I specifically ask you to keep it low-key? Why did you have to make such a grand gesture? We’re in a hospital, for goodness sake!”

Charles was in the room as well. Dressed in an impeccably crisp suit, he was incredibly dashing. With a bouquet of flowers in hand, like Sophia, he did not look happy.

When Sterling heard the door opening behind him, he immediately knew that it was over. He turned around and quickly ended the call when he saw Sophia and gave her an awkward laugh.

“Ster,” Sophia called out.

Sterling straightened up and instantly gave in. “Charles wanted to propose to you as soon as possible and we weren’t able to come up with any romantic ideas in such a short span of time so I contacted one of my friends and hired a creative agency.”

His voice gradually became softer as he continued, “It’s my fault, it’s all my fault. I know we’re at a hospital now and we shouldn’t fool around like this but the company messed it all up! Don’t worry though, I’ll contact them and complain…”

In the end, he turned to Sophia and mustered the best puppy eyes he could. “Soph, I’m sorry, please don’t be angry.”

If he had known the company would do things this way, he would not have contacted them in the first place!

Charles stuffed the bouquet of flowers into Sophia’s arms and knelt on one knee. Then, he opened the ring box, and without even asking her, he grabbed her hand and slid the ring on her finger.

The ring had been ready for a long time so there should not be a sizing issue, but because of how much weight Sophia had lost recently, it was slightly loose on her finger.
