Madam Jones recovered, her face flushing scarlet as she took Leah’s and William’s hands, making to leave.

“Mom, calm down.” Leah held her back easily since Madam Jones did not put a lot of force into it.

There was a storm brewing on William’s handsome face, but he did not protest his sister’s actions.

“Uncle James, I think that if you really wanted to cut ties with us, you wouldn’t have waited until now to do it. That’s why, if you pardon me, I’ll hazard a guess. You said so much and mentioned all that had happened over the past two years because you wanted to tell us how difficult it had been for you, right? You want us to understand that,” Leah said gently.

James accepted the medicine Jenny offered him and drank it all without a word.

Sterling laughed and said tauntingly, “As expected of a scheming b*tch, you overthink everything! But sorry, we really want to completely cut ties with you shameless scum this time!”

We want to build a large-scale amusement park on it, but there have been some problems with the funding, so would you be interested in investing some?” Leah said with a smile.
