On the long and secluded path, Lauren walked her puppy. Once again, she was engulfed in an inexplicable loneliness.

Not knowing how much time had passed, her eyes absentmindedly fell on Tutu who was half laying down, beside her. She tried to smile, but her heart was overwhelmed with endless bitterness.

"Tutu, have you ever thought that one day you will live such a luxurious life?"

No matter how cute Tutu was, she was still a mongrel. She wasn't gentle and pretty like pet dogs. However, she was very loyal, much more than pet dogs.

A normal pet dog would run off with anyone it saw, but her Tutu wouldn't. Tutu would always recognize Lauren no matter how long they hadn't seen each other. If someone approached her, Tutu would always be protective and alert!

As she and Tutu continued to stroll around, Lauren said to herself, "We really have rather similar experiences..."

They had entered a world they did not fit into, which they shouldn't have. They were outsiders to begin with!

However, they were also similar in the sense that they did not really have an option then!

"Actually, it's not bad to be a puppy, right?" Without the worries that human had, even though Tutu was a mongrel, it could still be happy.

Tutu was pregnant and could afford to be happy, but what about Lauren? She was also pregnant, and yet she had to endure criticism and sarcasm. Even if she tried to ignore it, she still had to endure those invisible pressures on her own.

Unconsciously, she reached out to rub her belly. Regardless, the baby was hers. Whether it was a son or a daughter, they were still related by blood.

If there was anything in the world that truly belonged to her, and would not be snatched away by outsiders, it would probably be that child.

When it came to relationships or marriage, Lauren deep down would never take the initiative to chase after the man. She had always been cold towards them.

If it weren't for Zedd's persistence in chasing her while showing her care and love, they would not have crossed paths!

Strictly speaking, the two of them got together because of their similar interests. The relationship however, felt more like a friendship. Yet, also because of that, the two were able to stay together longer. Later, as she got to know him better, she began to accept him and became very devoted to maintaining the relationship.

In the past, she had been looking forward to happiness, but everything had changed then.

At that moment, Lauren hated men. She hated men who approached her and got her into a living hell!

As if sensing a changed in her mood, a sudden soft barking sound snapped her back to attention. Lauren realized that her fist was clenched tightly and there were rare, frequent fetal movements in her belly.

Hurriedly, she unclenched her fist and rubbed her stomach gently.

'Are you able to feel my upset feelings? My baby, I'm sorry, mommy shouldn't affect you with the bad mood! No matter what, mommy will love you forever..."

As she continued to whisper at her belly, her gaze fell back on Tutu next to her. She smiled faintly. She wasn't entirely alone, and at least she had Tutu to keep her company!
