Not long after, Kayden left, stomping with anger.

In an instant, the family of three was what remained in the hall. Pulling Willy by his hand, Vanessa urged him to take his seat before she said, "I'll get you a bowl of soup. Drink it before you leave!"

The family settled down. After setting the bowl of soup on the tea table, Vanessa earnestly advised.

"Your grandfather is getting old. A few days ago, he received an invitation from an old friend to attend the birthday banquet of his third great-grandson. He must have been a little agitated. What's more, he hasn't recently been in good health. His high blood pressure frightened the hell out of us. Willy, be more considerate of him. No matter what you think about him deep in your heart, don't take it to the surface in bickering with your grandpa!"

"Mom, I understand. I take it to heart and hold a grudge against grandpa!"

Deep down, Vanessa knew that as a result of her, although her son was more outstanding, Mr. Bowles favored Edward's two sons. That was why Willy suffered, especially when he was young and was not sensible. To please his grandfather, he would always get up in the middle of the night to study hard. At the thought of it all, Vanessa heaved a long sigh.

"Alas, Willy, I know that you're filial. Marriage is an affair with utmost importance, so we won’t force you into marrying a woman you do not have any feelings for! You should make your own decision! Now that you have everything, don’t hold a grudge against Kayden! His experience is different from yours, so he's somewhat spoiled. I sense regrets in your grandfather’s words. Apparently, he is more satisfied and pleased with you than with Kayden. These days whenever we have guests, your grandfather would always be delighted at the mention of you. Hearing that you’ll be back today, he came over ahead of schedule! Although your grandfather didn't make it clear, we've heard of how much Kayden had troubled your grandfather over the past few years! Your grandfather is in his advanced age, so he doesn't want to interfere in Kayden's business anymore. Whenever you' re free, return home to visit him more often!"

From the distribution of properties, it was evident that Mr. Bowles devoted an equal amount of love to all his children and grandchildren. He was not biased just because he was close with either of them. He was being rational!

Knowing that his mother meant for him not to take the distribution of properties to heart, Willy nodded and reassured her by saying.

"All right! Mom, don't worry! I won't stoop to his level. Just give him what he wants. I have more than what he has. I have always remembered your words!"

When he was a child, his parents had always comforted him in such a manner! Indeed, he had his parents' love, but Kayden only had their grandfather!

Alfred had taken over the family business. In the past few years, both sides had made the most out of their companies.

In fact, Willy was not bothered about Mr. Bowles' property. Kayden, however, had always felt that Willy himself was the biggest beneficiary. He used to not like him when he was a child, and right then, he would always regard him as his enemy! In comparison, Jayden who was working with the government, had a more intimate relationship with Willy, although the two had identical appearances!

That night, Willy did not rush to leave. Instead, he stayed for the night. The next morning, he accompanied Mr. Bowles for breakfast after his morning exercises. Only then did he drive to work.

Little had he expected tons of official duties to be waiting for him after his business trips. After he returned, Willy was as busy as a bee. By the time he had finally handled it all, three days had passed.

After the meeting, he dashed to the office and hurriedly signed the documents at the table, his head throbbing with a headache as though it threatened to explode at any time. With that, he could no longer resist picking up his mobile phone.

"Do you have time tonight? Would you like to have dinner with me?"

On the other end of the phone, Lauren's eyes had almost rolled to the sky the moment she entered the house with a pile of toys in hand.

"Sorry, Mr. Bowles, but you're late! I have to return home tonight to accompany my father. I have a recording session tomorrow. My best friend's birthday is on the day after tomorrow. Mr. Bowles, if you want to invite me to dinner, remember to make an appointment in advance!"

Who did he think she was? He was always ordering her around with a wave of his hands! He had ignored her for more than a month and had stood her up after asking her out. Men were all pig trotters!
