A black silhouette flashed past him. Only then did Jeremy realize that it was not him who she was avoiding!

In an instant, he felt a chill from his head down to his toes. His heart was chilled with disappointment.

Alicia trotted all the way down the street while Frederick chased after her.

"Alicia!'¹ He grabbed her wrist forcefully and spoke in a vexed tone, "Didn't you hear me? Are you mad at me?"

His deep voice rose slightly and sounded full of displeasure! He hadn't settled things with her and yet she had become so arrogant!

Alicia was extremely furious. She shook him off and continued walking away from him without even looking at him.

In an instant, Frederick lost his temper. Hence, he stepped forward and grabbed her wrist again. "Alicia! Stop right there!"

As the two of them quarreled, the purse in Alicia's hand was flung to the ground all of a sudden. With a loud thud, everything in her purse was scattered all over the floor. Alicia frowned as she got a little annoyed.

"What are you doing? Go away! You always throw my stuff to the ground!"

After pushing him away, she bent over and began to pick up a delicate-looking pendant box in her hand, which was a souvenir for the contestants. Frederick recalled what had happened earlier on. He was extremely raged, but when he thought that he had made a mistake too, he tried his best to control his emotions.

As soon as she stood up, he grabbed the pendant away from her.

"You hugged a man just to get this useless thing? Are you happy that I voted for someone else? Otherwise, you would not get this, would you? How can the money be so important to you and how can you be so materialistic? Were you born to be a sl*t since you liked dancing with men? You even threw a tantrum at me just for some gold?"

With that, Frederick threw the golden pendant to the ground!

Alicia's expression remained unchanged. She just felt deeply insulted as she gritted her teeth. To him, she went on the stage just for the money and to show off. What about that woman? In his eyes, did she go up the stage to show her artwork instead? Anyhow, he voted for her!

Her heart ached as she didn't expect that he would say such a thing!

She felt that the man to whom she had devoted herself had always been thinking this way about her! It turned out that her relationship this time was even worse. She had put in all of her efforts, yet he did not appreciate her and even insulted her.

She looked away coldly and turned around to pick up the golden pendant, but Frederick grabbed her wrist again.

"Don't pick it up!"

With a wave, she slapped him hard in his face.

"It's mine and you have no right to order me! In your mind, I am just a materialistic woman who is greedy. Yes! I like money and everything I do is for money. Are you satisfied? If I go on the stage, it means that I am cheap and it is all for the money. But, if someone else went up, it means that they are noble and it was to pursue their dreams, right?"

The burning anger in Frederick's heart vanished all of a sudden. His face was stricken as shock overtook his face.

"Master Clements, since you are so noble, why don't you go to your elegant Miss Hannah? Why did you even bother chasing after me? I can't afford to serve someone like you! I don't even give a d*mn about your money! You can get whoever you want, just stay away from me!"

As she roared, Alicia burst into tears. She turned around and was about to leave, but Frederick held her in his arms.

"Ally!" He didn't mean to insult her!

"Let me go! Do not touch me! I don't want to dirty your hands..."

Alicia was agitated and extremely infuriated. She kicked and hit him again and again while her face was drenched with tears.

He could clearly feel her strength as she resisted, thus he hugged her tightly. Frederick didn't even dare to let go of his hand and his tone softened a little subconsciously.
