After retorting Kayden, Willy motioned with his hand, inevitably feeling defeated. "Take her to the police!"

Though he was glad Yvette was fine, he couldn't help feeling bad for the family whose child had been wrongly kidnapped.

Thinking all had ended, Willy turned to retrieve his phone while the group took Cloud away. But the disheartened woman, who had been muttering to herself, suddenly broke free, knocking the man beside her down. She then picked the blade from the ground up and charged toward Lauren, who was sluggish.

"Watch out!"

Lauren had been standing aside alone, plus everyone had their guards down, so no one registered what was going on in time. Willy pounced on Cloud, wanting to stop her. Seeing that he failed, he instinctively turned to stand in front of Lauren, protecting her with his body.

"Mommy!"

Following Yvette's scream, Kayden jolted back to his senses and turned around while pressing her head close to his body.

Everyone had become high alert then, charging toward Cloud once again.

"Willy, no!"

"This is all your fault! I'm going to kill you!"

"I'll finally have a good life when you're gone. I'll be happy; I'll have a good life! F*ck off; let go of me..."

"You're a psychopath, Cloud!"

"Yvette, don't come close!"

As things got out of hand suddenly, The scene instantly fell into total chaos. By the time the group dispersed, there was a persistent buzzing coming from a phone.

Everyone reflexively looked over, and someone somehow answered the call by accident, then an anxious female voice came the next second.

"Miss Lynch, where are you? This is really bad; Miss Fleur has gone missing!"

"Miss Lynch, what should we do now? I've looked all over the place twice and even checked the surveillance footage... She's nowhere to be found. Should we call the police?"

"The kindergarten teachers said they watched her walk out the gates because they saw us. But we never saw her!" "Miss Lynch, are you listening?"

Right then, the screen of Willy's phone, which had dropped on the floor, was lit for some reason, coincidentally showing a dreadful picture of a little girl in school uniform lying semi-curled up on a grass field. Her face was leaden, eyes shut tightly, body streaked with blood, corner of her lips bruised purple, and her neck had strangulation marks. The patterned bag slung over her shoulder was particularly eye-catching.

Willy pressed on his wound as he looked down only to see the bleak image, rendering him stupefied. Before he could fully make out what the picture meant, Cloud burst out screaming and kicking like a madman.

"No! Fleur..."

"How did this happen? How?"

"Ah... My daughter!"

"Ah..."

Everyone approached the phone only to be rendered speechless by what they saw, letting the heart wrenching cry echo through the night sky. No one said anything, but Willy couldn't even sympathize with her.

If they hadn't made the mistake, the one lying there would be his baby girl right then!

Though he felt bad for the innocent child, he admitted he was selfish. Right then, nothing sounded more melodious than the sound of Yvette's crying.

"Mommy... Daddy..."

Clearly frightened, Yvette tried to run to her parents as she sobbed while Kayden, who had been keeping her in his arms comforting her, broke out in a cold sweat, horrified by the picture.

Men truly had nothing on women if they wanted to kill!

He loathed Willy, never able to stand him, even envious and outraged of his good luck, especially when his daughter, who appeared out of nowhere, stole the family fortune and all of Grandpa's affection that was supposedly his. But he'd still hesitate to lay his fingers on a toddler who knew nothing.

However, this seemingly defenseless woman in front of him was as ruthless as the most heinous criminals.

Utterly devastated, Cloud slumped on the ground, drowned in tears.

Everyone left her on her own, leading the Bowles to safety while the hotel staff called the police.

After returning home, Willy first treated her wounds with simple first aid before helping her to the sauna, having no regard for his own injuries.

"Laurie, you've been force-fed 'Tina'; we have to flush it all out of your system or you'll get addicted. How are you holding up? I'll lower the temperature a little. This is faster than a hot shower-"

"I know! I'm holding up fine! The servants can look after me; go and take care of Yvette. And your injury; get a doctor to look at it!"

Lauren could tell how much pain he was in from his wan, wounded face as she held his hand, feeling the pain in her palm. The wound on his back was from a solid stab by a sharp blade, and Lexx had only dressed it simply with a cloth. She was worried about him!

"It's fine! It's just a flesh wound!"

Willy placed a kiss on the back of her hand, propping himself up as he said, "I'll leave you to your steam bath; I'll wait outside!"

Willy deliberately hired a female medical specialist to keep Lauren company as she repeated the process of first a steam bath, then a shower, and finally a rest before another shower to flush out all the 'Tina' in her system. Meanwhile, Willy held Yvette in his arms and tried to figure out their earlier scare while waiting.

"So everything today was Cloud's doing? I thought I told you guys to keep an eye on her? How did you guys not notice at all?"

Lexx took a sip of water to calm his nerves.

"She probably planned this long ago and has guarded against us since, so there weren't any abnormalities in her calls, bank, or interactions! I suspect she used someone else's phone number or unregistered line."

"And the kindergarten? What happened? Why didn't you guys answer my call when Yvette's already with you?" To make things worse, Kayden, of all times, chose to screw with him then, nearly scaring him to death.

He had probably made the most difficult choice in

his life then!

Right as he finished questioning, he shot a glare over at Kayden. No thanks to him; they fought amongst themselves and ended up in a lose-lose situation!

Kayden rubbed his nose and lowered his head then, not daring to say a word, naturally understanding what his glare meant.

Meanwhile, the butler and the bodyguard in charge exchanged a glance.

"Miss Yvette's teacher asked her to stay because of a fight with another child, and things got a little unpleasant. When we didn't see Miss Yvette, we went to the teacher's office. Then... the teacher was upset right then, and for some reason lectured us like we were her students for good. We didn't expect the calls to be life and death, so we didn't dare make the situation worse by answering. Who'd thought..."

Who'd thought that was when Willy called to verify the authenticity of the kidnapping? What a rare coincidence!

"We immediately called back when we saw your miss calls after we left the teacher's office, but they were all sent to voicemail. Worried that you were anxious and unsure of the situation, we called home to confirm you weren't home. So we located your address and drove to the hotel, thinking it wasn't too late if we called on the road or went straight there if something was up."

As everyone exchanged glances, they couldn't help gasping. They were so coincidental that everything looked like they had been planned down to the T.

There was no doubt his butler and bodyguards were receiving a lecture from the teacher when he called. Then when they called back, he was in a heated brawl with Kayden; Lexx was dealing with the chaos at the door, so he definitely didn't have time to answer the calls either. It wouldn't have been so nerve-wracking if any of them answered, but because all of them had more pressing matters, things got messed up!

And then there was Kayden. Things wouldn't have gotten so complicated if he hadn't inexplicably meddled in by sending him questionable pictures.

Willy pounded his head as he glared daggers at Kayden. Oh, how he wished he could tear him to shreds!

Kayden gulped and couldn't help tucking his neck.

"I mean... I can't see the future! Wait, that, what's her name again, set Lauren up as well, hadn't she?! Who knows how things would be like now if it weren't for me?"
