Lindsay forced a bitter smile with tears in her eyes. Her nails pierced into her palms as she said, "I didn't... overthink!" She actually thought otherwise.

But even a child would not believe his words, let alone her!

The news stated that he had bought the tie, as well as the dance, at a sky- high price. Besides, Alicia even put it on him personally. Lindsay had seen the photo was that red tie which was indeed very eyecatching. However, she was surprised as she didn't see the tie anywhere around.

Lindsay's mind was full of thoughts. But, on the surface, she seemed to be very tolerant and magnanimous.

"In fact, I know that you always have her in your heart and I know that I can't replace her. I just hope that you can give me a chance to have a small place in your heart, then I will be satisfied."

Lindsay lowered her eyes and sobbed in grievance.

"Both of you have always been in love with each other. I shouldn't have made my move on you. In fact, I like Alicia very much too. I really want you two to reconcile like the old days... In the hospital, Alicia's complexion wasn't looking good when she opened her eyes. When she saw the bright sun outside the window and the phone on the table, her face immediately fell.

Just as Alicia lifted the quilt and was getting up, the door of the room opened before her feet could even touch the ground. "What are you doing? Lie down!"

Then, Frederick came in with breakfast in his hands. "Why are you in such a hurry? Are you going to work again?"

There was no need to ask. Frederick already knew what was going on in her mind. He glanced at her and spoke, "Your attendance bonus is gone."

She didn't want his money! Without him, she would just be a little tired at most. If not, she would just ask Victoria for help. But, she didn't refute him as she didn't even want to talk about it with him again!

Looking at the spoon in front of her, she did not drink it. Instead, she said, "I want to drink water!"

"Alright!"

Frederick handed the bowl of soup to her and got up to pour her a cup of warm water. When he turned around with the water, he saw that Alicia had already eaten the bowl of hot soup.

When Frederick returned to the bed, Alicia placed the bowl down and pulled the quilt over her head to rest.

Suddenly, he realized that she seemed to be different this time. She didn't want to drink water at all. She just didn't want him to feed her!
