"You little dummy..."
Trevor caressed her cheeks before returning to his seat. In an instant, Victoria's calm eyes lit up. She raised her hand and was about to continue her watering when she realized that the sprayer was empty.
How was that possible?
She shook the sprayer more forcefully again. After observing it thoroughly, she realized that she had adjusted the settings all wrong. She had intended to spray the flowers, but she ended up pouring out the water all at once. The sprayer wasn't that big in the first place, that was why it was empty!
Trevor was scrolling through his phone, but one of his hands was slowly approaching the folders on his desk. Upon seeing this, Victoria scuttered back to the bathroom, intending to refill the sprayer so she could continue "watering the flowers".
The sound of her little footsteps had attracted Trevor's attention. His eyes subconsciously followed her movement as he was elated to see her trot around the office.
As soon as he finished replying to the messages, the sound of her familiar footsteps caught his attention yet again. Raising his head, Victoria had returned with a refilled sprayer in her hand. "What's going on with her today?" He wondered, "She's not addicted to watering flowers now, is she?"
"I thought you just finished watering it just now," Trevor inquired. He wondered why she was still watering.
"Uh? It's not finished yet. I'll spray some more!"
Her reluctance to leave was evident, therefore Trevor decided to stop his questioning and went back to what he was doing earlier. Victoria started watering the flowers from the other side. Nevertheless, her attention was still very much focused on Trevor.
The folder was right in front of him, but Trevor had yet to open it. Whilst replying to the messages on his phone, he instinctively grabbed a pen to sign the documents.
Victoria held her breath for the drama, however, his attention was glued to the phone. She wondered who he was chatting with.
"The terms and conditions of Category A are final. He'll compromise, just wait for a little while longer..."
"I'm a little snowed over with work right now. I can't make more time for this. I'll do it some other day!" "Okay, I understand. I'll take care of the formula!"
Trevor was not only sending text messages but also voice mails. He had opened up a corner of the folder earlier, but now he had closed it all the way. After waiting for a long time, Victoria's neck was sore.
She involuntarily let out a sigh as she couldn't help but wonder, "Who is he texting? They don't know when to stop, do they? It's almost close to lunch break, why are they still texting him?"
Eventually, Trevor put down the pen. Another message came in right after. "Roger that, send the contract this afternoon! Don't forget to attach the modified version to the original one..."
The moment Trevor picked up his charger, he noticed Victoria's reflection on his computer screen. With the sprayer in hand, she looked anxious as she kept on sighing here and there. Upon seeing this, he intuitively ceased his actions.
What kind of reaction was that?
After charging his phone, Trevor turned around to look at his lovely wife.
Victoria came back to her senses the moment their eyes met. She flung the sprayer in her hands, only to realize that it was empty yet again. "Eh? Where did the water go?" Victoria wondered, "I remember adjusting the settings!"
She then discovered that that was, in fact, not the case. She didn't know if it was because of her faulty work, or perhaps it was because she hadn't tightened the thing enough, the sprayer was empty yet again.
With a pout, Victoria turned around as Trevor inquired, "Vicky, are you planning on drowning my flowers? Did they, perhaps, offend you?"
Was something going on?
Before he had the chance to continue, Victoria registered her mistake. She did, as a matter of fact, water a bit too much. With an awkward smile, Victoria hurriedly explained herself, "No, no! It's just that, this sprayer, it's so high-class and modern, I don't really know how it works...that's why I watered a few more times! To practice! I'm done, I'll just go refill it, for later!"
