Even though the woman was quite far away from her, Waverly could feel the woman's helplessness as if she were the one in the woman's place. And those men, they sure looked human, but they weren't. They were monsters under those human skins. They pushed the woman around as if she was nothing, as if she was a toy with neither dignity nor feelings. Waverly saw herself in that poor woman. Her face paled as a thought struck her.

Did he bring her here for similarly horrendous reasons?

Wyatt felt her body stiffen. He followed her gaze and understood what was happening.

Waverly was about to walk away as Wyatt pulled her back to his side, "Waverly, I brought you here to relax, to de-stress, not to put you on as a bet! I won't-”

She had almost driven him crazy last time, so of course, he wouldn't do it again! Besides, he wasn't willing to do something like that to her! He wouldn't even use her as bait!

He was really bewitched last time. He didn't understand why he put in so much effort to win that stupid thing back! It was a matching set, but it didn't make them any happier. They even broke up!

It sure brought them luck, but it brought them bad luck instead of good luck!

Wyatt held her tight in his arms and whispered, "From now on, you'll only have to worry about eating and drinking till your heart's desires, okay?"

They even got the police involved last time. He really did scare the sh*t out of her, didn't he?

Waverly came back to some of her senses as her stiff body gradually relaxed. She looked at Wyatt, but her gaze slowly returned to that poor lady. Waverly really wanted to step forward and help her out. Waverly knew what she was going through.

Wyatt seemed to read her mind. Before she could do anything, he stopped her and blurted out, "She's not like you!"

"Huh?"

"Stop thinking all women are good! That man who's gambling, do you see him? That man in gray? Well, he's pretty famous in the gambling industry. He's a gambling addict, but that man's got the skills, and he's rich, too. Women approach him to get something from him. Some want to seduce him, some want to sleep with him, and some just want to get a little of what he's winning. Do you know how much someone like her can make in one night? If she's lucky, she might be going home with hundreds of thousands of dollars today! Do you know how hard it is for that woman to get to be his 'human stool'? Do you realize how many women are fighting to be his 'human stool'? That woman had been holding him up for a whole night. Don't you think it's tiring, having to bear the weight of a man like that? Was it really worth it, being trampled on like that?

She looked uncomfortable!

"There's always a little something wrong with pitiful people! Don't underestimate any women here. They wouldn't be here if they weren't shameless enough! Of course, perhaps you detest them for doing such disgusting things, but that's how they succeed, that's how they earn money, and you can't deny that! Shamelessness is actually essential for success. You know, you're really bad at hiding things, so you're pretty lucky you met someone like me!"

In other words, if Waverly's late husband hadn't passed away, she wouldn't have gotten some of his family fortunes. If Waverly hadn't met him, she wouldn't have had the chance to live such a luxurious life!

Even though only the central air conditioner was turned on, Waverly still dreaded the cold. Her gaze returned to the man in suit and her eyelashes trembled. She shook the juice in her hand and took a small sip of the orange juice.

"What's wrong with you tonight? Are you shy? Just say what you want to say!" Why does she keep staring at him like that?

Wyatt was puzzled.

"What? You're saying as if I usually act like...some really rich guy I know!" Waverly paused before answering. The words-"you're shameless" were written clearly on her face!

"I just think you men are really lucky, you know. You guys don't need to be in the cold on these kinds of occasions!"
