Wyatt consulted the staff seriously, trying to find the best room for his love. Waverly, on the other hand, was dying of embarrassment. Being there was enough to unsettle her.
"Alright. We'll go with this one!"
Waverly heaved a sigh of relief. Finally! She could go somewhere else instead of standing in the middle of the hall. Suddenly, her gaze landed on a woman. The woman had messy hair, and there was red stuff on her shirt...was that blood? Waverly also noticed the terrifying red marks on the woman's neck, but the woman seemed pretty chill. She slowed down a little as she checked the thick stack of cash in her hand. She then put it into her new LV bag and left the hotel with her head held high.
Where the h*ll did that woman get that confidence?
"Come one! Don't be so petty," A man's voice rang out abruptly, "Two more, two more..."
"It's not that valuable. Just a couple more, hmm?"
"One! Okay? One!"
Waverly turned around as her eyes followed the source of the sound. Her gaze landed on a man next to Wyatt. He was talking to another staff member, and he kept knocking on the counter, urging the staff for something.
The staff then lowered her head and got him two tiny red bags. Waverly instantly recognized them as her face turned pink.
Why was the hotel...giving out stuff like that?
The man already had two in hand, but he still wanted more?!
Waverly felt her cheeks burning.
The young lady behind the counter must be used to it. She wasn't half as surprised as Waverly.
"Sir, the hotel only gifts two on every visit," the staff slowly took out a small book, "You're taking twice as much! Sign here, please! And leave your number."
"Yes, your room number!"
"This is so troublesome! Why are you so stingy?"
The man talked so loudly it was as if he talked about stuff like that for a living. Waverly felt ashamed for the man, even though the man himself seemed pretty happy about his extra little bags.
Just standing there made Waverly uneasy.
Who was being stingy? As the man said, those were cheap stuff, but he still asked for them.
Who on Earth would want a man so frugal?
"Thank you for visiting us tonight! I wish you the merriest night!"
Waverly's eyes darted one more, and they landed on the three, red, little bags in front of Wyatt.
Her face was red enough, but even her ears and neck were pink now.
Wyatt gave the staff a nod of thanks before dragging Waverly to the lift nearby. Waverly eventually returned to her senses as she started rebelling again.
"You liar! I'm not going! I wanna go home!"
"I'm not feeling well!"
"I don't wanna go!"
He took those stuff! Three of them! Pervert! Shame on him!
I shouldn't have believed you!"
Wyatt held her hands down and smiled, "Oh, love, just because I have it, doesn't mean I have to use it. Don't you agree?"
This was closely related to his dignity! He didn't want any trouble. It was the easiest way.
"Huh?"
Waverly's mind turned blank as her body disconnected. Why did he take them, then? Was he that stingy, too?
"It's not even my size! But I have to take it. I'll turn it into a balloon for you later!"
One couldn't rely too much on the hotel's goods. They were all the same size!
Wyatt made up an excuse as he stuffed one of the red bags in her hand. Waverly felt as though she were holding a ball of magma as she quickly threw the bag back toward Wyatt. She blushed and averted her gaze as she bit her lips.
"What? I...don't have such a weird fetish!"
Waverly calmed down and collected her thoughts. Did he take them...because he didn't want people to look down on him?
That man beside them got four, but the staff had only given him two at first. Why'd Wyatt got three, then? Was it because he looked younger? Did he look more "capable"?
Did those petty things really bother him that
much?
