Initially, he thought it was Raynee who called and was about to hang it up. When his gaze lowered, he saw that it was from Waverly. Stretching out his long arms, the corner of Wyatt's lips couldn't hold themselves back from lifting into a curl as he pressed the answer button. Followed next, a sweet voice came.

"Wyatt?"

He replied with a hum.

On the other end of the line, the sound of music was heard. Wyatt asked in displeasure with a slight frown on his brows, "You're not well-behaved again. Why are you outside at this late hour? Where are you?"

Since she could call him, she was most probably alone, wasn't she?!

It was soft music, not blasting like those found in clubs. Was she in a studio or a boutique?

With a flash of doubt across his mind, a piteous voice that dragged on came, "At home..."

Soon after, he heard that the music was turned off, accompanied by her sophistry voice, "I'm well-behaved..."

She had promised that she could endure for days, yet was she unable to fall asleep after tossing and turning in bed?

Waverly stuck out her tongue and was rendered speechless by her bad habit. She badly wanted a hug all of a sudden!

"Wyatt, did I disturb you? I miss you, so I called you for a word or two. I want to hear your voice!" Unfortunately, they were separated by phone and couldn't even have a goodnight kiss!

The call could, however, finally quench her thirst!

Wyatt could not hide his joy as he laughed out loud. As he put on his home clothes, he said, "No, I'm not busy now! I'm home too!" A carefree feeling welled up in his heart. It was then Wyatt realized that he wanted to hear her voice badly as well!

"It's early today! No wonder it's so quiet over at your side! You're so obedient. Here's a compliment!"

With a "mwa" at the phone, her eyes inadvertently caught sight of the clock. Seeing how early it was, Waverly's eyes lit up in an instant. "Wyatt, are you going to sleep?” "There's something I need to deal with. Not this early!"

Remembering that Raynee was waiting for him, Wyatt placed his phone aside and put on his casual shirt. After buttoning the shirt, he smoothed it well.

At the foot of the stairs, Raynee was pleased to hear his faint laughter. She rushed to the door with a few strides, but she did not expect to hear the last sentence. Without having to look at the caller ID, she had guessed the general situation. Her hand that was about to knock on the door withdrew as she took two steps back.

Just as she turned around, the opening of the door was heard.

As their eyes met, Wyatt was visibly stunned. "Why are you here?"
