The car engine started, but Raynee didn't stop. She was either screaming or growling. From time to time, she would grab the driver's neck or jump around to have the car shaking with her. Wyatt used all his strength to hold her down. Deep down, he was worried about Waverly, but he couldn't do a simple thing like retrieve his cell phone. His face was livid as he seethed.

"Mm. Fly. I want to fly..."

"Take me to the sky! "

Stretching out her hand, Raynee began to throw herself around. Instead of avoiding her attack, Wyatt went mad as he furiously bellowed, "Have you had enough? Shut up! Quiet!"

How annoying!

Was she possessed? For a while, she was lying limp on the ground like an invertebrate and could not be dragged, but some other times, it was as if she had been injected with essence and had inexhaustible strength. It was as though she had gone mad and insane.

Raynee wowed and shrieked.

With a loud bang, her head struck the roof of the car. Immediately holding her head, Raynee cried. "Ouch... It hurts!"

Wyatt rolled his eyes, seeing her twisting her body and not knowing what she was going to do next. His mouth was dry, and his hair was near to standing on end. In the face of her half-exposed neck, a thought crossed Wyatt's mind, so he raised his hand and chopped down. With a muffled snort and her body going soft, Raynee slowly fell onto the seat. In an instant, the entire world went silent.

The next second, it was Wyatt who banged his forehead.

Dumb! Dumb! He was so dumb! Why didn't he think of it earlier? The earlier he knocked her out, the better it was. If he had long done so, she would have been sent to the hospital and completed her check- up, so there was no need to waste time with her. He was so dizzy and exhausted from the torture! The crux of the incident was that Waverly had run into him and misunderstood!

Wyatt lifted her leg and adjusted her posture to prevent her from falling off the seat before he hurriedly reached out for his phone. He had just tapped on Waverly's number, and before he could hit the call button, the car pulled to a slow stop. At the same time, the driver's voice was heard.

"Mr. Johnson, we're here!"

Seeing that, Wyatt had to lock his phone and first send Raynee to the hospital.

It was half an hour later when Wyatt was free from all the mess. After Raynee entered the emergency room, he picked up his cell phone.

She rushed home in a puff. For the first time, Waverly's tears were like water from a flood that could not be stopped nor blocked. She sat on the toilet in the bathroom with tears splattering down her cheeks, her mind blank.

In her memory, she had never burst into tears from a relationship, including Franklin's betrayal and eternal departure. Right then, she had no idea why her heart ached. She did not want to cry, but her tears couldn't stop from flowing.

She had no idea how long she had been crying. After washing her face, she went to bed and hugged the quilt, feeling as though everything before her eyes was pitch-black. Her chest seemed to have been stuffed with cotton wool. Although it did not feel stuffy, she felt uncomfortable all over.

The phone constantly buzzed and vibrated, but she did not have the desire to check the incoming calls. In the end, she covered her head with the quilt, along with her body.

After dialing her number several more times in a row, no one answered, so Wyatt sent her several more messages to explain. His heart drowned in distress, but seeing the red light of the emergency room and the few faces around him whom he found unfamiliar, he knew that Raynee's family had yet arrived. He could not leave. Exhausted as he was, he slumped onto a nearby bench, clenching his mobile phone as he checked the phone nonstop.

When he started the car engine, he went up to Waverly's mansion. Seeing her mansion drowned in the darkness of the night, he stood at the gate and ended up not knocking on the door, nor did he dial her number again. All he did was sleep in the car.

Wyatt had wanted to apologize to her early in the morning, so before he dozed off to sleep, he set an alarm on his phone as a reminder. He was tired and exhausted after being tormented by Raynee, and with how he dared not close the window too tightly in the car to avoid shutting off all the air, it was cold even if he covered himself with a blanket and clothes. The next day when Wyatt opened his eyes, he was in a daze, sneezing non-stop!

"Ahchoo!" The sun was so high up in the sky. What time was it?

Knocking on his groggy head, Wyatt took over his cell phone and pressed it a few times, but he could not turn it on. All of a sudden, he was stunned.

Did it run out of battery?

It was only then did he check his watch. "D*mn! It's half past eight!"

She must have left!

He sprung out of the car and rushed to the door in one breath. He was greeted by Aunt McGowan, who was ready to head out. As expected, she had gone to work.

D*mn it!
