With a helpless sigh, Wyatt walked up to her once more.

'Waverly... Stop your childish acts! Can't you be reasonable? I didn't go to East Bannpool to meet her..." He went on coughing.

Shifting her gaze, the bluish purple teeth marks on Wyatt's neck entered the bottom of her eyes, which were clearly glaring. The sweet talk lingering in her ear and the chaotic scene in her mind disturbed her heart, causing Waverly's anger to rise to the extreme.

"You mean I'm being unreasonable? Why are you still here if I'm being unreasonable? I've told you that it's over between us, it's over, completely over! Did you hear me clearly? Don't touch me with your filthy hands. Don't bother me again!"

Following her words were a series of beatings and pouncing. Going past him, Waverly ran off angrily.

How could he say that she was being unreasonable? He was treating her the same way the scolding in the game had been? Were his sentences about how unreasonable, a shrew, and an ugly woman she was?

Why did he come to her if he disliked her so much?

She picked up speed, but not knowing what was going on, she felt the sudden urge to burst into tears.

After running to the parking lot, Waverly's eyes fell on the cars in front of her. Before she could locate her car, Wyatt grabbed her wrist once more.

"Waverly, a fight is a fight. There are contradictions, misunderstandings, and problems. We'll resolve them all. Don't say such words! Do you know that to find you and give you an explanation, I slept in front of your house last night, so now I'm not feeling well suffering from a cold... Ahem, I didn't go to work today, nor did I eat anything. I came right here all the way for you!"

Holding her shoulder, Wyatt tried his best to control his emotions. One day and one night, coupled with the exhaustion of the business trip, dizziness overwhelmed him as his throat seemed to emit smoke at any time. He was thoroughly worn out with his entire body aching all over. Not knowing if it was a result of his illness, it was the first time that he felt weak and urgently needed a rest. Yet, the incident lingered on his mind. He had let go of the company's mess and put it aside, just to explain everything to her clearly. Contrary to the understanding he needed from her, she demanded a share of his attention.

"You blacklisted my contact number and didn't answer my phone. Do you know how much manpower, material resources, and effort I've put in to meet you? Waverly, I'm not feeling well, and there's a mess waiting for me to attend to in the company..."

Yet, she was causing more trouble!

Swallowing his saliva, he fought the urge to cough. Wyatt did not say the last sentence. He was tired and uncomfortable. Right then, he was deeply dissatisfied with her willfulness.

"Could you not make things worse?" was the sentence he failed to get out of his mouth.

His body was fatigued. Worse, he was drained mentally!

Wyatt's tone was so low that it sounded as if he was pleading. Unfortunately, Waverly reacted like a cat whose tail had been stepped on halfway through his words, hopping up and down as though she had been struck with thunder.

"So, do you want to tell me that all this is my responsibility, my fault?"

Sure enough, he placed all the blame on her!
