"I see. Continue to investigate. Don't let any clues off!"
After talking with Seth for some time, Wyatt gathered his information and made a few phone calls to arrange everything well before slowly returning to his room. When he entered, he saw Waverly tidying up her new clothes and even humming a tune in excitement.
Seeing her delighted smile, Wyatt laughed. "Have you changed the password?"
Waverly turned around and nodded. With her eyes narrowed into a smile, she said, "Mm, I didn't lose a penny. I didn't lose anything. I was so scared."
In the future, she would remember to clear all the records when her computer was turned off. She must not forget to do so just for the sake of saving trouble.
Fortunately, her computer saved learning materials, entertainment, and movies. The photos were nothing more than selfies that were not important nor shameful. Else, it would be terrible! If someone grasped her weakness by learning about her secret and her identity or the money in her treasury, wouldn't she be doomed?
Her father was right. Money should never be revealed. It was always right to hide more money at all times!
Seeing her sticking out her tongue with a look of fear on her face, Wyatt couldn't help but laugh. "Haha. Did you save tons of money in your treasury judging from how scared out of your wits you were?"
At the thought of the two men's poor wealth, how much could they give her? If they gave her a seven-digit figure, she might be stuffed to death. Plus, thinking of her minor villa, Wyatt gave a disdainful scoff in his heart and subconsciously felt that it must not be much!
"Even if it isn't a golden mountain, it must be a small silver mine."
Any card of hers contained a sum of money that would leave her heart aching! The pocket money her father and brother had given her, even if it was not invested, the interest alone could allow her to live a comfortable life for a lifetime! Besides, she worked hard and earned the money. She knew how tough it was to earn money!
Turning around to get his wallet, Wyatt withdrew a black card and handed it to her. "Here's to plate your small silver mine with gold!"
Waverly pursed her lips and was displeased.
"I don't want it!"
"What's wrong?"
Was she embarrassed to accept the card?
After sleeping with her, he gave her an unlimited black card. What did it mean? She pouted. The look in Waverly's eyes changed when she looked at him once more. Are all men that way? They would reward women with materialistic items after fooling them around. Since he was afraid that she would demand a hefty sum, he was in a hurry to clear things between them?
Seeing the subtle changes in her expression, Wyatt hurriedly withdrew the card, saying, "If you don't want it, then I won't give it to you. Why would you get mad?"
"I don't want it! I want you to owe me forever!"
When Waverly roared, Wyatt immediately understood that his actions had hurt her. He went forward and gave her a hug. "What were you thinking about? You're indeed a little hedgehog! Look at how much of a hedgehog you are. Who's the idiot willing to spend money and suffer from your tantrums?"
Wyatt poked her nose and shook his head helplessly. She must have been provoked that night to not be able to control her temper!
"Why? Do you regret it after having provoked me?"
Waverly hugged him with her nose up high. She was not pleased with how he had tried to give her money. If he nodded, she would bite him to death at once!
She was a little hedgehog that was not tasty.
He lowered her head to heavily smack his lips against hers. Wyatt's eyes flared with passion. "All I regret is not having eaten you up earlier!"
Wittily rolling his eyes, Wyatt walked to the bathroom after carrying her up in one go.
Her expression changed dramatically as she hooked her arms around his neck. Waverly's legs started to kick around. "Wyatt, don't do anything stupid. Don't do anything stupid. I've just healed. If you dare lay your fingers on me, I'll get even with you!"
"Wyatt! Put me down right now..."
"I don't want a crooked leg!"
"I want to sleep in the guest room!"
"Wyatt!"
She screamed all the way, but it did not stop her from being carried into the bathroom. In the massive bathroom, Waverly scampered around like a mouse, barely escaping the rat hole under the sink as if she was going to go to the execution ground.
Wyatt grabbed her collar and pulled her onto the table. His steel-like arm had shackled her firmly. "Waverly, I've not fulfilled my lust for a long time. I'm starting to forget how you taste."
After his tongue plundered around and failed to find a single hole in her teeth, he looked up to see Waverly blinking her eyes and gritting her teeth. "No! No!"
Just once was enough to make her stay at home a few days in a row. Now that she had recovered a little, he wanted to do it again? He'd better not think about it! Reminiscing about the life-threatening suffering, Waverly's teeth trembled with pain.
Right then, she didn't believe what he said! It was all a lie! Who told her that it would only hurt a little for the first time? Was that merely a little? It hurt her to death and was nearly fatal!
"Just once. Give me a taste of it?"
As he pleaded softly, Wyatt continued pecking her on the cheek.
"No, it hurts..."
After cleaning up as she held her anger in and looking at the energetic person who changed into a suit, Waverly climbed back to bed. Her cheeks were bulging with her eyes almost popping out of their sockets.
Beast! Beast! Indeed a beast!
Her leg was aching. She couldn't go out that day!
After packing up everything, Wyatt turned around to tug her in.
"It's still early. Have some more sleep! I'll get the servants to prepare breakfast for you. Whenever you wake up, it'll be ready for you. You won't be disturbed. Rest at home for a few more days! Tell the butler if you need anything!"
With that, he dotingly pinched her cheeks.
Waverly turned her head and rolled her eyes with an angry snort. "Hmph!"
It was impossible for her to be able to leave the house and get back to sleep! The a*shole who had no self-restraint, who knew how he would act next!
Wyatt ruffled her hair and checked the time without saying anything else. Instead, he hooked her head over and kissed her forehead before standing up to say.
"See you tonight..."
Taking light steps out of the door, he turned to check on her once more. She wrinkled the quilt with her little fists. Waverly was so mad that her face was flushed red.
D*mn. Why would she meet him at night?
Waverly was so angry that she rolled back and forth when she pulled the quilt and threw it back onto the bed. How could she sleep? She was like a tiger in a haystack, being bullied by dogs! Not only was she unlucky enough to lose her home, but she also fell into a wolf's den. It was indeed a wolf's den!
If she did not stay at Wyatt's place, however, where could she go?
She grabbed her hair in irritants. When her gaze lowered, she grabbed Wyatt's pillow to give it several ferocious punches. Who told him to lie and bully her?! Had she been out of her mind to believe his words?
Throughout the entire morning, Waverly had to calm her feelings on the bed, but there were traces of sweetness from being spoiled seeping out through her eyes and brows.
After thinking about it for some time, Waverly went out for lunch at noon. In the meantime, she called Aunt McGowan to tell her that she wasn't required to come back for the time being before she informed her boss to explain taking a period off. Only then did she know that Wyatt had a great reputation. He should have introduced a lot of business opportunities to the company, hence she was permitted endless vacations while receiving her salary all along. Wandering around the street, Waverly selected the latest laptop and chose a few sets of clothes, not knowing whether to feel glad or down. As she walked on the street, she stared at the setting sun in a daze. Her mind was full of Wyatt's voice,
"See you tonight".
"See you tonight. See you tonight. Ha, as if!"
