With a smile, Raynee shook her head to say, "Thank you, you've been of great help!"

Their gazes met. With a smile, both of them could sense subtle changes in the atmosphere. Wyatt nodded and said nothing else. Out of the corner of his eye, he caught a hint of a brochure stuffed in the bag in Raynee's hand. With another glance at her simple outfit, it was obvious that she did not pay much attention to her styling as before. It was a stark difference from her previous fashion sense. Sitting idly in silence was stifling, so Wyatt casually sparked up a conversation.

"You and Stephanie..."

Didn't they have a good relationship?

If he hadn't witnessed the situation with his own eyes, he wouldn't have believed it. Although Stephanie's outfit was rather casual without wearing any priceless jewelry, he felt like they were drastically different from each other.

After all, Raynee was the eldest daughter of the Wagner Family. Why did it seem as though she had suddenly changed into a different person?

Wyatt was confused.

Just as she was about to speak, Raynee's cell phone rang. It was from Quill. Standing up to her feet, Wyatt proposed, "I'm going to buy you a bottle of water! There's no rush. Take a rest!"

"It's nothing, it's nothing. It's just a mild sprain. It has healed! It doesn't hurt. If there's durian ice cream in front of me right now, it wouldn't hurt anymore."

Giggles were heard.

When he turned out of the aisle, Wyatt vaguely heard such a relaxed and pleasant talk and laughter.

After wandering around for a while on purpose, only then did Wyatt buy a bottle of water. When he walked out of the elevator and arrived at a corner, he saw a familiar figure running to the chair in a hurry. Immediately after, he noticed an ice cream box in Raynee's hand.

"Wow! Why are you here? You bought it for me!"

"I happened to be nearby. Didn't you say you wanted to eat it?"

He came in a hurry and ran into a bakery that had not many choices available. "By the way, how did you get here? I'll send you back!"

How could a wounded person suppress her pain and crawl over snail-like?

Biting her lips, a thought crossed Raynee's mind as she explained, "A friend sent me here!"

Knowing that Wyatt had given her space to allow her to answer the phone, a feeling of emptiness flashed through her heart before it was replaced by satisfaction.

Sure enough, it was a loss and a gain!

If it were in the past, she would definitely feel uncomfortable. Right then, however, Raynee felt at ease after viewing his actions from a different perspective.

"He's too much. Why did he leave you here and leave? Why didn't he help you till the end?!" Quill complained.

"I'll send you back after you've eaten!"

Raynee smiled with her eyes curved. She didn't say much and took the opportunity to send Wyatt a message. Right then, Wyatt, who had seen the scene, returned to the elevator with the delighted image of Raynee eating ice cream appearing in his mind.

There was only one idea in his mind.

"Buy milk tea for Waverly!"
