Pointing at Victoria, Selena suddenly became agitated again.

Trevor's face darkened, and he clenched his fists.

It was highly possible that he was responsible for the accident that Victoria had gotten into. Trevor had always thought that Daniel had done nothing wrong to him and that all of it was an accident. I bet he wouldn't even care if we were dead. If it weren't for the fact that she refused to give birth and that his business failed, he wouldn't have returned to the country. If he hadn't gotten into a car accident and ended up infertile, there's no way he would have even remembered an illegitimate child like me. He came to find me when I was in middle school to get back in contact and even showed a photo of him with me and my mother, as well as all kinds of messily compiled information on his laptop. Selena muttered to herself as if she was lost in thought, but tears still rolled down her face subconsciously.

"Why does everyone want to leave me? Why do they all abandon me? Why is life so unfair?" she complained.

She continued, "I just want to be with you... but you treated me like this, too. You lied to me, too. You can accept the fact that she's your cousin, but you can't accept it when it's me. Why are you always so biased? Maybe you never really liked me. It's obvious that someone being your cousin isn't enough for you to give up on them!"

Suddenly, it seemed as if her whole world had collapsed and she was enveloped in an indescribable depression and loneliness. Selena looked even more lonely and pitiful. "Is it because I'm an orphan without anyone to rely on?"
