Frederick looked up and met Carson's gaze. "Do you think so as well?"

"Your care towards Danica is so obvious! From first glance, she does look a little like Danica..."

However, after a few times of interactions, Carson felt that Alicia was completely different from Danica. She was more lively and energetic. Even though she might be a bit much at times, people still gravitate towards her. She was just special!

Frederick pressed his lips into a thin line and he looked over at Alicia. No wonder she would think so!

After a while, he said solemnly, "I did too little for her!"

One sentence was enough to make Carson understand completely. His eyes widened unconsciously. Had Alicia become more important than Danica?

Without asking any further, Carson reminded him of ways to take care of Alicia and then left.

Feeling drowsy, Alicia opened her eyes again. A gleam of sunlight streamed through the window, dazzling her eyes.

She knocked her slightly heavy head and looked at the bruise on her hand. She silently rolled her eyes. Was she sick again? When did her body become so weak?

Sure enough, bad luck was contagious!

She forcefully held herself up and blinked her heavy eyelids. Her body was still stiff and she felt uncomfortable.

As soon as she stretched out her arms, the door of the room suddenly opened, and she retrieved her hand back. She leaned against the bed. It was probably that she felt uncomfortable, thus she turned around and laid on the pillow, which was cushioned with Frederick's pillow underneath.

Frederick couldn't help but smile when he saw that she had woken up, seemingly more energetic.

He scooped out a bowl of vegetable porridge and handed it over.

Before he could even speak, Alicia took it and started eating.

Frederick raised his hand and detected her body temperature from her forehead. It had obviously lowered. Feeling relieved, he sat down and thought that at least, she would never jeopardize her health!

A woman who cherished herself was always more worthy to be loved by others!

Frederick saw that her bowl was almost empty. "Are you full?"

In fact, Alicia didn't have any appetite but she didn't want to make herself hungry. She was worried about her own health. Not wanting to speak, she passed the bowl to him and turned her head away.

When he saw that she was acting arrogant again, he set the bowl down and said, "Huh, you're acting up again! When you're this high and mighty, I wouldn't even be able to fight back in the future!

Alicia huffed in response.
