Soon, the trash can by her feet was full of red petals and flower stems, almost overflowing. Done venting, Alicia put the rest of the flowers into a large vase on her desk after a glance.

Breathlessly slumping on her desk, Alicia sighed as her fingertips drew circles. "I don't want to quit. I don't want to go to Soaver International. I don't want to go at all."

Frederick was so overbearing, arrogant, and unreasonable. Why did she have to resign? Why did she have to choose between him and her job? There was no conflict between the two!

She felt upset!

Just as she was feeling irritated and unmotivated to work, her cell

phone suddenly vibrated. Alicia opened it and saw a message from Frederick.

"Do you like it?"

Knowing that he was talking about the flowers, Alicia grunted. Quickly, she pulled out the trash can, took a picture, and sent it to him.

On the other end, Frederick was in the middle of a meeting. Looking at his phone, he could imagine her arrogant and angry face. At that, he couldn't help but chuckle.

It looked like she was still pissed off. Did she take it out on his flowers?

As if the temperature suddenly dropped, the large conference room abruptly fell silent. A dozen pairs of eyes were focused on the main seat. Meanwhile, the department manager who was doing a presentation found his hands trembling while holding his materials.

Did he say something wrong?

Subconsciously, he looked at the data in his hand. Although the business growth rate was a bit low, it was still within the company's normal target.

As Frederick pondered upon what to reply to the text message, he lifted his eyes and remembered that he was still in a meeting. "Go on!"

A chill ran down the manager's back, already drenched in sweat. Gulping, the manager continued stiffly.

All departments are equal. As long as you can meet the company's auditing standards, your salary will be raised. Soaver International promises to treat everyone fairly. However, if anyone of you is found to be a bully or a scrounger, Soaver International will not let you off the hook! After saying that, Frederick glanced at Sophia at the side. "The whole company will streamline the objectives once more."

"We have several big projects coming up soon. All departments must cooperate and work together. I don't care if there is any conflict between employees. Once you're in here, you have to abide by my rules. If anyone damages the company's interests because of personal conflicts, you will be held legally responsible depending on the severity of the situation. No matter how talented you are, you will be fired! Soaver International will never hire such people!"

"It's not like we're never going to see each other again. Don't be so sad! Mira, here's your favorite blueberry egg tart!"

"Daisy, this is your favorite taro roll and pumpkin pie."

"Hurry. Hurry up and grab the milk tea. Here are the chicken wings and shrimp balls."

As Alicia handed out the snacks, she felt a lump on her throat. Although everyone felt a little sentimental about her resignation, they respected her decision. Before leaving, Alicia passed Mira the cactus on her desk to care for.

She even gave them some odds and ends on her desk. The day was a downer for her. No matter what was said about her outside, she didn't care. However, Alicia was apprehensive about her sudden separation from her colleagues with whom she had worked. They had always cared for each other. What's more, she had to go to a new and unfamiliar environment.

At the end of her shift, her colleagues secretly gave her a small gift. Holding the beautiful dandelion in her arms and a crystal ball symbolizing 'reunion', Alicia couldn't help but sob.

"Thank you for the gifts! I am so happy to know you all. I hope that one day, I can come back to work with you all again!"

After hugging each other goodbye, Alicia then grabbed her organizing box and headed out the door.
