Alicia was afraid that Frederick would say something that he shouldn't on the phone. Therefore, she pretended to be shy and took a few steps toward the door. Then, she pressed the answer button. She wanted to speak first to give him a hint, but unexpectedly, a head-on scolding was first directed at her.

"Are you a snail? What took you so long?" Frederick questioned.

Hearing his tone, Alicia realized how wise her decision was! However, Mrs. Clements was still staring at her. Hence, she could not argue with him. She could only be patient and answered in a delicate voice.

"Hubby, I'm eating at Grandma's house. I'm waiting for the ravioli! Have you eaten? Are you tired from work? When will you come back? Grandma and I miss you so much!"

Because Mrs. Clements was listening, Alicia felt that she should show her concern. Of course, it was more like she wanted to tell him that Mrs. Clements was there. Thus, he should be careful with his words and not put on airs!

Frederick, on the other end, who had been waiting for her to make a call, felt like his whole body was warmed up. He softened his attitude instantly when he heard her speaking in a soft and concerned tone suddenly.

"I'll be back soon!"

"Hubby, take good care of yourself. Don't be too tired. Make sure you are in good health and be careful..."

After chatting for a while, Alicia also asked the other two if they wanted to talk to him.

Finally, she hung up the phone after saying, "Hubby, goodbye!"
