When Frederick came through the door, he found Alicia in a daze, curled up on the couch. Her clothes were too thin, and her long hair was scattered everywhere. She looked rather lonely.

He found a robe. He walked towards her as he frowned, "Why didn't you wear something thicker?"

He reached out to touch her arm, and it was cold. Then, he pulled her into his arms and rubbed her arms as he draped the robe over her shoulder. He then carefully examined the wound on her back,

"You can't even take care of yourself!"

She did not feel cold initially. Now that she was in his arms, all she could feel was warmth. She took a glance at the clock and realized that it wasn't even 9:30 pm. She could not help but smile.

"What is this?" She asked.

"Crab roll! It's pretty delicious. Before I left, I ordered a portion and brought it back for you! It's best eaten fresh. Try it!"

He remembered how much she loved crab, so he was sure she would love it.

The strong aroma of the food awoke her appetite. Coincidentally, she did not have anything for dinner. She then reached out for the packet of food. Before Frederick could come up with a way to persuade her to eat, she had already picked up a roll and stuffed it into her mouth.

"Wow, there's a lot of crab meat in it without any juice. It's delicious!"

He glanced at her in disgust. Then, he took out a few napkins and wiped the oil stain from her lips as he said, "You're so sloppy! Why don't you use a fork?"

"It's much better to eat it with my bare hands! Haha! Frederick..."

She pushed the plate over to him and motioned for him to take one too.

When he saw how heartily she was eating, he smiled and said, "I've already eaten! Slow down. Don't choke!"

Although she wasn't skinny, he always felt that she was too thin.

He then adjusted the robe on her, stood up, and headed into the kitchen to get her some warm water. He hardly saw her eat this much at night, especially supper. He was a little puzzled.

"Did she not have her dinner? Or was she really enjoying the food?" He asked himself.

A trace of doubt flashed. He did not want to say anything, afraid that it would disrupt her appetite. He changed out of his work attire and headed into the bathroom to take a shower.

When he emerged from the bathroom, she had already devoured four out of the eight rolls he bought her.

Alicia stood up and quickly cleaned up the mess. She then said, "I'm so full! I'm going to brush my teeth..."

Once she was done washing up, Frederick was still fiddling with his phone on the couch. She walked over to him with her bulging belly and nestled in his arms. She didn't disturb him. She shoved her feet under the pillow and rubbed her belly with her hands. She sat there in silence, feeling genuinely blessed. He then replied to his messages with one hand while the other was wrapped around her shoulders.

After replying to all his messages, he turned around and saw her checking out her bulging belly. It was as if she was wondering how heavy it was.

He chuckled and said, "How far along are you?"

She turned over and sat up, half-kneeling. She reached out and covered his mouth with her hands as she said, "Are you making fun of me? You are! You're not allowed to make fun of me!"
