It was a call from the manager of the nightclub where she worked part-time. He told her that he had an important appointment and wanted her to dance there. He mentioned that he would double the salary and that her job would end before 10 o'clock at night. Alicia was so happy as if she had won the lottery. It was indeed a good job for her.
