Frederick arrived at his destination in the nick of time.

Instructions were sent to his cell as he reached the warehouse. As he jogged to the row of warehouses according to the instructions, his phone buzzed again from another unknown number.

"What exactly is it that you want?"

"Fahrenheit Warehouse number A109-3! There is an agreement pinned to the door. Sign it, and you will get a key to a warehouse. Otherwise, you can come and collect her dead body!"

Frederick looked at the building number in front of him, then scanned his surroundings. Though he didn't see anyone, he knew he was close to the said location.

"Do you think I'm a fool? What proof do I have that she is still alive? Or if she's even the person I’m looking for? I want to speak to her on the phone!"

As he uttered the words, he heard the sound of a woman screaming.

"Let me go! Let me go! I told you I’m not Frederick Clements's wife. I have nothing to do with him! You are mistaken! Frederick, don't come..."

"Danica?"

It wasn’t Alicia!

Frederick was divided. Since they were still acquaintances, he couldn't leave her here alone.

From the sound of things, it was chaotic and going badly.

There was no time to think about it. He said, "Don' t touch her! Don't touch her. Let's talk about this!"

"You only have three minutes. After you sign the agreement, I'll tell you where she is. The clock is ticking. If you don't do as I say, all you will find is her dead body!"

Without waiting for Frederick to respond, the call ended.

With no time to think, Frederick rushed to the said location. There was a document case at the door with a pen next to it. He scanned it briefly to find it was to transfer 10% of Soaver International equity.

These people were really ambitious!

Looking around, he noticed a camera near the light at the door. They thought of everything!

Flipping to the dotted line, Frederick signed the document directly and held it in front of the camera so that the captors could see his signature clearly.

He was not afraid of signing the equity transfer contract because he had already been prepared for this. Any transfer of personal property required his lawyer's presence and his signature with an exclusive flourish. Otherwise, it was null and void.

As an added measure, if situations like this happened and the lawyer was alerted, then the flourish would automatically change as per their agreement.

Before he could put the papers down, his phone buzzed again. The text read,

"Key, under the third rock on your left. Drop the agreement. Unit B109-3. You only have nine minutes and 36 seconds. Bomb!"

The B units were on the opposite end.

Frederick read it and, in a panic, dropped the agreement papers, retrieved the key, and ran. The warehouse was numbered symmetrically and the opposite ends were over a thousand miles apart.

He ran along the row and quickly found the unit. Frederick opened the door and felt a blast of cold air. "Danica, are you here? Don't be afraid..."

"I am going to save you."
