Soon, an impatient and immature voice was heard, "I told you, I'm on a diet. I can't eat anything greasy or spicy. Why did you have to bring me here?"

"Darling, don't say that! Mr. Clark has brought his wife along and they want to meet you. Let's just spend half an hour with them. He's a family person. This is a huge contract. Can you please help me?

"Alright! Now give me a smile. Once the contract is signed, I will buy you a Hermes bag, okay?"

"Since you're both women, you can entertain his wife with small talk, right?"

"His flight is at eleven o'clock. We just have to hold on until it’s half-past nine. It's just for a while. This is a very famous restaurant. I'll order some paleo dishes for you."

Danica turned slowly and saw Caven ushering Hallie, who was clad in a beautiful dress, towards the restaurant. In a flash of inspiration, she picked up her phone. She quickly dialed a phone number and went into the elevator with her head down.

Alicia and Frederick had an enjoyable meal.

She fed Frederick the dessert and glanced at the little food left on the table. She was satisfied, as she didn't want to waste any food. If there was still a lot of food left, she would've asked to take away the leftovers.

"Are you full? Would you like some yogurt?”

Knowing she liked to have some after a heavy dinner, Frederick ordered her a box of yogurt. However, they had not touched it yet.

Alicia shook her head while smiling. "I can’t eat another bite! Get the bill while I use the washroom. Remember to keep the yogurt for me. Don’t leave it behind and waste it."

"Okay.”

Alicia got up and walked away with her mobile phone in hand. When she reached the stairs, she found a yellow sign in front of the toilet door stating that it was under maintenance. The sign said to use the washroom on the second floor instead.

Since it was the only washroom on that floor and the elevators were occupied, she took the stairs to the second floor.

As there were guest rooms upstairs, the floor layout was slightly different. She huffed a breath and followed the signs. She finally found the restroom at the corner. She had just took a few steps when she suddenly heard strange noises, followed by the sound of heavy breathing.

"Oh, yes!"

Reflexively, Alicia stopped and pondered, "What is that sound?"

The next second, a man's hoarse voice could be heard, "I miss you so much, Darling."

Realization hit and Alicia blushed. She wondered, "Could it be a tryst? "

She turned around to leave but stopped abruptly, as she really needed to use the washroom.

She decided to turn back. She was just about to cough to indicate her presence when she heard a male voice, "Shh, lower your voice! Go to your room. I'll come find you later."

Alicia's jaw dropped as the hairs on her body stood on end. She frowned and thought.

"Why did that voice sound so familiar?"

Subconsciously, Alicia took a step forward and stuck her head around the corner. A familiar face flashed before her and in an instant, her entire body froze.
