Infuriated, Jeremy shouted, "I thought you wanted money and clothes? Fine, I'll give them to you!"

"What are you talking about? Jeremy, you're crazy!"

While struggling and arguing, the two of them became more furious. Jeremy then held Alicia's shoulders as his eyes were fueled with anger. "Stop talking about your love for him! Don't you think that he's disgusting? Nothing but vanity! How much money do you want? I'll give it to you!"

Jeremy abruptly lowered his head to kiss her lips, but Alicia managed to dodge and she felt even more enraged. "B*stard! Don't come closer to me!"

"Why is he allowed to touch you, but I'm not? Why can't you just accept my offer? I truly regret not getting any closer to you in the beginning. You should have been mine! I really want you so badly! Tell me, how much money do you want?"

Forcefully, their lips came together. At that moment, Alicia swung her hand in his direction, and she almost knocked him away with her whole body. She slapped him in the face as she felt deeply insulted. She held her clothes tightly, but wasn't planning to escape. Instead, she ripped off two buttons of her shirt.

"Who do you think you are? Do you think you're worthy of sleeping with me? Do you know what price Frederick has to pay to sleep with me? Excluding the millions of clothes, luxury cars, and mansions, even ten million dollars isn't enough to buy a kiss from me! Do you plan to rent me for an entire night? As she kept talking about money, she was completely ready to go all out without a single thought.

Alicia continued in fury, "You really want to sleep with me, huh? Pay up then! Pay me fifty million dollars in cash right now! We can have sex wherever you want, even right here! Her cheek was aching from the slap, but Alicia felt better shortly. At least, the both of them had calmed down.

Then, the corner of her lips curled into a smile.

She said, "Now, do you finally realize what kind of person I am? This is who I truly am now! Did you think that after going through all of that, I'd still be the former noble lady who didn't know a single thing about sorrow and the world? I'm not that arrogant and noble lady that you once knew! Now, men can't possibly give me the sense of security I seek, but only money can! At this point, no one is comparable to Frederick. So don't bother to pay me a visit again unless you have silver and gold. Perhaps then I will consider it. My time is too precious to be wasted on you!"

Alicia raised her hands and promptly buttoned her shirt. After that, she turned around and went inside the car.

As soon as she stepped on the gas pedal, she burst into tears. She didn't know how long she had driven the car, but when she came across the lonely bridge, she stopped the car. Then, she got out and leaned against the bridge railing, gradually sitting down blankly.

Back at the office, Frederick was having a meeting when his phone suddenly lit up. "Hubby, I miss you!" the message stated.

Frederick raised his hand and said, "Let's take a ten-minute break."

He got up and left the room.

Alicia sat at the end of the bridge, uncertain why she had sent that message to Frederick. After she thought for a while, she found it ridiculous and then quickly typed another message.

"Please come home earlier tonight. I'll prepare a midnight snack for you!"

Frankly, she didn't want to do anything at all.

Just as she hesitated to add the last sentence, her cell phone suddenly rang. It was a call from Frederick.

As she saw the name "Uncle" clearly written on the screen, her tears suddenly blurred her vision.
