"No worries! I'll handle it. Aunt Freya, you should stay over at my place for the night since there'll be a blackout here. Besides, Frederick might not be back tomorrow anyways, and it doesn't matter if he comes back. I'll chase him back home for a night!"

"Okay then!"

Alicia wasn't aware of the loneliness in the depths of Freya's eyes, and her attitude was also completely different from before, yet she was still there happily rambling,

"In that case, we can have supper together as well! There's a barbecue stall down both the streets and they even sell various kinds of soups. They have salty, sweet, sour, and spicy ones. You can get anything down there..."

"It would be better for us to buy a few of them back. We can separate them into different bowls!" Alicia thought.

She found it funny as she imagined Frederick helplessly sitting on the ground in front of a pile of dishes. She wasn't planning to be merciful on him this time; she really wanted him to do three days' worth of dishes!

The corner of Freya's mouth twitched for a second. For the first time in a long while, a smile emerged on her face.

"Okay! Ally, let's have a feast tomorrow once you're done with work! I'll close the store in the afternoon and prepare a few dishes. Let's have a good meal together!"

"That's great! Aunt Freya, can you bring over some of your meatballs ? I love the meatballs that you make the most. They're tasty and not greasy at all!"

Alicia and Freya were chatting away while they calculated the remaining stocks of perfumes on the shelf. For the first time, the store was filled with laughter and happiness.

Meanwhile, in the Randolph family's mansion, Danica's phone rang as soon as she was done packing her luggage.

She answered her phone as quickly as she could. Lindsay's voice echoed through the call. "I just came back and I heard that you're leaving already?"

"I've booked a flight for tomorrow at 1 AM!" Danica exclaimed.

"Have you given up already? I've fulfilled what I promised you!" On the bed, Lindsay looked at her recently polished bright red nails and spoke.

"It's such a pity that it isn't the right time for you. Even Frederick has gone on a business trip too!"

Lindsay was indicating that he was currently vulnerable since he was on a business trip in a foreign city. However, she couldn't deliberately approach him or make any obvious movements. Besides that, it was impossible for her to try too many times as it might expose her presence. It was a shame that such an opportunity had appeared after a long day!

"Whatever is up ahead shall be decided by fate!" Lindsay thought.

Danica sneered, but there was no response from her initially. Instead, she changed the topic and said, "Why did you even come back knowing that it's already this late? You do know it won't do you any good right?"

Her original plan was to kill two birds with one stone, so that she could get both the money and the people! Now, all her efforts were basically in vain!

In fact, she should've been the biggest beneficiary of this scheme! To Lindsay, she wouldn't have gained much from this other than a measly sum of money. Even if her plan was successful, there was a higher probability of Jeremy being with Alicia if Fredrick broke up with her. "It doesn't make sense, does it?" Danica thought. She didn't look like a fool who would marry someone for nothing!

"Haha... You shouldn't think too much about it. We're the same, two peas in a pod! We never crossed each other's paths. You'll take back your man and I'll be back with my work! You don't need you to thank me for this! If you're really wondering why I'm doing this, then I'll be honest with you. There isn't any particular reason. I simply dislike seeing Alicia happy. I just can't bear the sight of her lavished life! I would rather you be the happy one living a wonderous life than her."

Besides, whether the plan worked or not, Jeremy wouldn't be hers anyways!
