It was because she needed the money!

Pursing her lips, Alicia lowered her eyes. However, she did not say anything.

"Tell me!" he bellowed. Was she pretending to be pitiful and mute now? Did she dress like this for that man again?

These thoughts flooded his mind, and Frederick's tone was very unfriendly.

She didn't use his money nor did she want to take his property. Why should she be scolded by him? At most, she could just divorce him!

She was full of resentment and anger. She could not think straight.

"Grandma..." Frederick greeted.

His voice still sounded a little impatient.

Alicia bit her lip almost at the same time she heard this word.

After ending the phone call, Frederick walked back and saw that Alicia was still standing in the distance. Her shoulders were slightly shaking, but she was pressing her lips together and sobbing silently. She must be angry and sad, but obviously, she was controlling her emotions and did not make a sound.
