Looking at the mirror on one side, Alicia's eyes suddenly lit up. She didn't expect that changing her clothes would really change her temperament! Moreover, not only were the color and style of the gown beautiful, but it also suited her!

She wore a silver-gray gown that reached her ankle. It had translucent lace and a slight slit on the side which revealed her alluring high heels. It was obviously a simple style, but it seemed to be tailored for her. It was not only beautiful but it also fitted her perfectly. It made her look slim and graceful. The dress was elegant and comfortable, and the style matched his clothes.

While she was appreciating the beauty of the dress, a tall figure suddenly appeared in the mirror. Alicia instantly became moody.

"It doesn't match his clothes at all!" She wanted to take back what she had just thought...

As if he could read her mind, Frederick raised his hand and touched her hair lovingly, "Well have this dress!"

Alicia wanted to take her original clothes and shoes, but Frederick didn't let her take them. "Send them directly to my house tomorrow!"

After leaving the address with the studio, he led her out of the door.

Alicia tried to shake off his hand several times, but she couldn't get rid of him. Hence, she gave up.

The banquet was held at home. As soon as they turned into the main road, Alicia saw a field of luxury cars. Security guards were controlling the traffic along the road.

"What kind of banquet is it? It looks so grand!" she thought.

They drove all the way to the main door. When they got out of the car, Alicia had a polite smile on her face. She was not as indifferent towards Frederick as she was before. At least in front of others, she was holding his arm lovingly.

Naturally, he was very satisfied with her performance.

In fact, Alicia didn't like to come here. Most of the people in this family, except for Frederick's grandmother, looked like outsiders to her, which made her very uncomfortable.

After all, she had been to many grand occasions before. These years, she had experienced all kinds of hardships. She had learned how to observe people's words and expressions. Holding Mrs. Clements' arm, she was ready to stay with her all night.

"Good girl! I haven't seen you for a few days, and you've become more beautiful now!" Mrs. Clements also liked Alicia very much, no less than her own granddaughter.

"Grandma, you are the best at making people happy!" Alicia praised.

Seeing that Grandma liked Alicia very much, Frederick's expression softened a little.

As Frederick stood there, guests would come over to have a chat with him from time to time. After a while, he was pulled aside by a group of men. Alicia was happy standing beside Mrs. Clements. Sometimes, when there was no one around, she would secretly take some desserts to share them with Mrs. Clements.

She didn't know why Frederick's family would hold such a grand banquet all of a sudden, but Alicia knew that it was right to talk less! Generally, when people came to talk, she would be smart and steer clear of them. She would rather avoid them than make trouble.

Noticing that the people around Mrs. Clements were almost gone, Alicia came back with a glass of juice. "Grandma!"

"Ally, you really know how to hide from trouble!" Mrs. Clements laughed.
