After an unforeseen encounter with Frederick and Sebastian's gambling fortune, Alicia was beyond furious. She remained at home for three days straight without stepping out of her room due to the ruckus.

At this moment, Nicholas walked into her room with a plate of fruits and found her. She was lying on the bed with a pillow in her arms. She was as miserable as a withered eggplant. For her to be in a state like this was a rare circumstance.

He shook his head while he walked to the bedside. He rolled his eyes and said to her, "I assume you haven't washed your face or hair for a few days? Are you posing as a beggar?"

After poking her head, he gazed at his own finger while he grinned and said, "You could even fry an egg with this much grease on your forehead! Weren't you the clean freak in our family? Your room is a total mess!"

"Nicholas, you're so annoying, why can't you just leave me alone?!" Wasn't she allowed to be herself at home?

As soon as she said that, she pulled out a tissue and dabbed her face with it. The clear grease stains on the tissue made her frown.

As expected, she couldn't afford to be lazy anymore. How did her face end up like this merely after a day without washing it?

Alicia found it unbearable, so she stood up immediately and threw the pillow at Nicholas before she rushed into the bathroom. She washed her face carefully and applied some toner. Only then did she feel more comfortable once she was done.

Shortly, she headed back to her bed and snatched the pillow back from her brother before she slothfully lied down.

"It's only your first time meeting him, yet you're already this listless. How are you going to survive the next few days?"

She instantly sat up straight. "I'm not grumpy because of Frederick! It's solely because that scumbag won a fortune through gambling!"

Unknowingly, she spoke with a loud voice as she scratched her slightly messy hair in a vexatious manner.

She turned around and sat on the edge of the bed. Right then, Nicholas stroked her hair gently and said,

"Are you sure you're not lying to yourself? If it's purely because of that scumbag, then you would've enthusiastically thought of a solution by now. You definitely wouldn't be hiding in your room like a mole right now, plus it's been three days since you left the house!"

Alicia was embarrassed that he had completely figured her out. She shouted, "Nicholas!"

"Come on, I'm your brother, so you know it's not a big deal to me. Why are you so emotional right now?" He said with a soft tone while he calmly stroked her hair.

"Ally, it's impossible to hide forever! Eventually, you'll have to face the truth. With Frederick's connection, it's not hard for him to discover the truth about you if he really wanted to. He might not figure it out within a day, but who could say he wouldn't within a month's time? It's similar to Sebastian's case too; you can't keep him in the front line forever. If he figures out that something is wrong, all your efforts will be in vain! For the moment, Frederick would most likely leave you alone because it'll only make things more complicated if he approaches you again. Besides, it would only raise Sebastian's suspicions if he did. You have to understand, there are quite a number of people who are aware of your past relationship with Frederick."

After listening to him, Alicia instantly came to her senses and said, "Nicholas, do you mean..."

No doubt, if she had gotten involved with Frederick any further, then Sebastian would've found out sooner or later. This was because Frederick had been constantly monitored.

"You should find a suitable opportunity to meet Frederick and get to the bottom of his behavior! You can't keep hiding your identity from him. Besides, he's already engaged. However he behaves or what feelings he has for you aren't important. I assure you that he won't refuse to help you even if it's to delay the concert!
