Alicia pulled him up and gave him a big hug. She glanced at the beautiful roses around her with the corner of her eyes, and instantly, tears streamed down her face uncontrollably.

This scene was indeed beyond Alicia's expectations! The huge contrast also made her excited.

With her in his arms, Frederick felt as if he had obtained a precious treasure. The joy of regaining what he had lost made him feel like he had been reborn!

Because of their daily routines, they either lived in Promise Garden or Robson Garden, to make it convenient for the two of them to meet, Frederick had specially bought another villa in the Lilac Gold Garden, the second phase behind Robson Garden, under Nicholas's name. They belonged to the same housing area, but they each occupied opposite ends of both phases.

Alicia's mood was full of twists and turns when she returned to Robson Garden.

She looked around the room and found everything had remained the same as before she left. In addition to some of his clothes, there were obvious traces of his burnt cigarette butt in many places. Everything was familiar.

She guessed that he did some cleaning not long ago but it was done rather amateurish as the bed still looked rather untidy. Looking at it, Alicia guessed that he must have done it himself.

She put down her bag, took off her coat, and then turned around, only to see that Frederick did not follow her in. As she walked, she tidied up the room again, then she changed the bedsheet and quilt cover as well. Seeing that the room was neatly arranged, she immediately smiled.

After that, she changed her clothes and walked out. Just as she was about to ask what he wanted to eat, she heard noises coming from the kitchen. As soon as she peeked, she saw him in an apron, looking rather professional. She could not help but feel a little surprised.

It had only been a few days since they saw each other, how had he changed so much?

She stepped forward to take a look and saw that the eggs and the sides in the plates looked rather decent. The steak in the pan made a sizzling sound, accompanied by the delicious aroma of the meat.

Alicia placed one hand on his waist as she rubbed his back and joked, "Hubby, it had only been a few days, but I felt like we had not seen each other for years! Do you need my help?"

"Your job today is to only eat!" Frederick looked back at her with a smile that was like a blooming flower. He did know how to cook a little in the past, but he was rather lazy, moreover, he did not like washing dishes. He barely entered the kitchen before this. Now, he could even wash the dishes!

He wanted to do more for her. Even if it was cooking, which he was unfamiliar and unskilled in, he wanted to try and do much more for her!

Soon, Frederick served up two steaks. He even prepared instant soup and toasted some bread.

Although it wasn't fancy restaurant quality, the dinner was near perfect. For this, he even specially opened a bottle of Lafite that he had treasured for many years.

Under the shimmering light, the two of them stared at each other lovingly and clinked their glasses lightly.

Frederick watched satisfyingly as Alicia enjoyed the steak. The last piece was too much for her to eat so she fed it to Frederick.

"Hubby, could you do me a favor? I can't eat anymore."

He took the chance to hold her hand as he opened his mouth to eat the meat. He could not help but hold it tightly, and only let her go after he was satisfied.
