After they were out the door, Frederick walked to the courtyard like a sparrow that had escaped from its cage. He did not care what the woman behind him was doing or if she could catch up.

As Regina trotted, her heart beat wildly while looking at the magnificent figure in front of her. Her face reddened, and her body was shivering due to the cold weather, but she never took her eyes off him.

Neither of them said a word the entire time. Regina merely looked at him with admiration, and her eyes were filled with adoration. She had wanted to initiate a conversation with him several times. However, her mind was completely blank. When she saw that they still had no interaction even though they were reaching the edge of the compound, she grew so anxious that she was sweating.

She had never seen a man with such an outstanding temperament; he was completely different from any other men she had met before. Regina's heart beat furiously as she kept fiddling her hands and pursing her lips over and over again.

When they reached the end of the compound,

Frederick paused for a split second and turned around mechanically to head back. When she saw him turn around and pass her by without even looking at her, her heart sank.

Growing up, many men pursued her due to her beauty. Therefore, her parents had always been strict about her dating. They taught her to cherish herself so she could find a better man in the future.

This was the first time that she was ignored by a man entirely! As if her youth and beauty meant nothing to him.

Regina did not like this feeling. However, it had also stirred up her competitiveness at the same time.

When she managed to catch up with him, she grabbed his sleeve and asked, "Frederick, do you hate me?"

Frederick stopped in shock as if he had just recovered from his thoughts. He tilted his head and looked at her. With a light snort, he said, "Yes..."

In actuality, he was absent- mindedly looking at Alicia's social media updates and comments the entire stroll. All he heard were noises; he had no idea what she had said at all. Because he wasn't paying attention, nor did he care about her thoughts, Frederick merely gave her a simple reply.

As soon as he gave her a reply, he continued forward. Since he was interrupted, he unconsciously slowed down his pace a little. Not because he wanted to wait for her, but because he felt that he was walking too fast and the time they spent outside was too short. He was afraid that he would be in trouble when they returned.

Even a fool could understand his neither cold nor enthusiastic, casual nor evasive attitude. Regina's eyes widened in disbelief as she suffered a blow. She could not believe such a personable, noble, and well- educated man did not show her the slightest respect, let alone act like a gentleman.

She was upset. At this moment, Regina, who had always been proud, was inexplicably attracted to him.

She moved her feet and felt another cold wind blowing. She shivered as goosebumps crawled all over her legs. She looked around inadvertently and found that they were by a pool. At this time, the sparkling and cool feeling instantly penetrated Regina's heart.

Just then, Levi and a few servants also ran out, "Master Frederick?"

"What are you doing standing there? Hurry up and save her!"

Frederick scrutinized her condescendingly and felt as if he was watching a farce, he sneered.

However, he neither refuted nor explained the whole time. He merely let his grandmother rebuke him, and the pair of mother and daughter defended him pretentiously.

Soon after, Mrs. Clements found a set of clothes for Regina to change. As she looked haggard, the mother and daughter did not stay any longer. They got up, and Mrs. Clements saw them to the door.

"I'm so sorry! Who would've thought such an accident would happen. I'll invite you again when I have the chance! Frederick, go and walk Mrs. Clark out."

Coincidentally, Frederick's phone rang, and he took the opportunity to excuse himself, "Sorry, I have to take a call. Levi, please send Mrs. Clark and Miss Clark off! By the way, get a doctor to take a look as well!"

Without waiting for them to respond, he turned around to answer the phone!
