Natalie lifted her head to look at Trevor, but she somehow couldn't bring herself to face him directly. She quickly turned away to conceal the side of her flawed cheek from him.

He came to his senses as soon as she interrupted him. With all hope lost, he merely stood still in the elevator while he blankly stared into the void. Visibly disappointed, he simply said,
