Alicia walked up to it without realizing it.

On top of the black display case, there was a pair of butterfly earrings that were different in length. One was long and the other was short. They were cute as if they were dancing as it shone in the distance.

For some reason, she was in a daze when she looked at it.

"Miss, here's your ring."

When Alicia came to her senses, she paid for it and took the ring, she signed and said, "Thank you!"

"You are welcome! Do you like this pair of earrings? You do have good taste. This is our new design. It's platinum inlaid with nine diamonds, and it's in the shape of a delicate butterfly. There are two precious pink diamonds. The hidden meaning behind it is 'We will fly together till the end of time'. We are thinking of promoting it during Christmas and advertise it as a sign of love. That is why the earrings are in the shape of snowflakes. It's very fashionable and suitable for a beautiful lady like you. It brings good luck to your love life. This is just a sample as it's just a prototype. There are pink and blue diamonds. You can have a look at it first. There are only five sets. It is on a first come first serve basis..."

The saleswoman tried very hard to promote it. She held the account book and flipped through it.

"Ordering it would cost 90,000, and the total price is about 290,000 dollars. If your order it now, not only can you be our member for free, but we will also give you a set of exquisite platinum pearl earrings and pendant. Those are worth about 3,000 dollars!"

Despite the design of the earrings which were butterflies that brought back hurtful memories, no matter how much she liked it, she could not afford it. Soon, Alicia looked away.

"Thank you! I'll take a look at it again next time!"

She turned around and was about to leave when a strange man blocked her way. "Miss, please hold on!"

She asked, "What's the matter?"

The man was wearing a dark brown jacket, black trousers and a pair of shiny leather shoes. He was plump and had big ears. His hair was neat and shiny, and there was a bag under his armpit. He was a middle-aged man. He had a kind smile and he looked polite. He did not seem like the annoying type.

"Miss, you look so beautiful! I wish to befriend you!"

As he spoke, he took out his business card.

"Don't think too much. I really don't mean anything else. I can tell that you are a friendly person as soon as I saw you! Miss, you like these earrings very much, don't you? Well, I'll give it to you as a gift for our first meeting. Let's be friends. We can find a place to talk. Is that okay?"

As soon as the man spoke, Alicia already knew his intentions. After all, back in college, she would encounter this situation every once in a while. Some people wanted to keep her, some people wanted to chase her, or some wanted to praise her. There were all types of people.
