It was said that one could reveal an inferiority by mere comparison.

In the past, when he saw Selena, he would only feel sad for her. But ever since he was with Victoria, every time he went to Korea to see her, he would feel depressed - a melancholy that made people feel wronged, as if they had some suppressed emotion they carried in their chest, unable to let out.

What depressed him so was the fact that his mistake had turned her into this!

However, Trevor felt grateful that she did not give up and gradually recovered!

She was stubborn and strong, just as he remembered. Her thin shoulders were made of iron, it seemed. Though Trevor was thankful, he was also sad because he had once again hurt her!

"Since you're here today, why not keep me at work for another day! You can do as you please tomorrow!" Trevor said.

He could feel the change in her. Even if it was just a small change, it was enough for him to feel satisfied. He was content as long as he knew she would not give up on herself!

"Fine! Honey, actually I..."

Victoria was anxious because she could clearly see his good intentions. Just as she was thinking about how to explain it to him, the bell of the afternoon break suddenly rang, interrupting her thoughts.

When she turned back to look at Trevor, he had already got up and was tugging at her to do the same. "It's your favorite hour again!"

"Why are you making me sound like I'm some sort of glutton!"

She muttered in protest, but she smiled. Victoria suddenly thought of something and said, "Let's have lunch at the cafeteria then!"

Since it was her last day of being here, and it may not be convenient in the future to do this again, she took the opportunity to experience lunch hour at the cafeteria once more!

Her beautiful eyes glimmered with hope as Trevor lifted his hand to knock her forehead playfully. "You're still denying the fact that you're not a glutton? As if you can resist anybody who comes at you offering two salted eggs!"

Despite this, eating with her was a rare enjoyment, which often made him think that being able to eat was the best thing in the world.

Of course, he was also perfectly aware that eating

was paramount to anyone's survival.

"He he, let's go then!" Victoria said.

Victoria smiled and took his hand in hers. Along the way, they interlocked their fingers together as they whispered sweet things to each other. A look of joy painted over her face.

When they entered the restaurant, Victoria regulated her emotions and facial expression subconsciously. She stopped playing around and picked a place with fewer people around.

Trevor held her little tightly and smiled. "It's okay! You can do whatever you want here! Rules can be bent, but only for you."

At least, he had control over his territory! It seemed that the incident from before had casted a dark shadow over her. Every time she came here, he could feel her tense up as she grew more alert and cautious.

Victoria shook her head and smiled back, "We shouldn't waste the money like this! I don't want to trouble you!"

In any case, she did not want to be seen as a high-profile partner, nor did she want to show off! All she needed was to understand her own love and romance with Trevor. She did not need or want others to admire her with envy, neither did she want others to sympathize with or pity her. Plus, she was just here for a visit. She did not want to mess things up for him or to leave others with a bad impression of him.

Trevor stroked her beautiful hair, and this time, he held her waist protectively. "You're always thinking for others. Vicky, you're too mature!"

She was too kind! That was why she always unknowingly put herself in danger.

When he thought of their first encounter, Trevor was a little regretful of their unpleasant beginning, but he was still glad that they had met each other!

They walked out of the restaurant, chatting happily with one another. Then, Victoria came to a stop and breathed a sigh of relief. She lifted the milk tea, and turned to look around the restaurant.

"What's wrong? Did you drop something again?" She was so forgetful! Should he tie her up with a rope in future? It was a miracle she made it back home safely each day.

Shaking her head, Victoria frowned slightly and said, "Honey, did you get the feeling that we're being watched?"

Or followed?

Why did she always feel that there was a burning gaze fixed on her back? It was creepy! It felt like there were an invisible pair of hands ready to attack her at any time.

A shiver ran down her spine as a feeling of chilliness crept up her back!

He followed her gaze and took a good look around, but didn't find anything out of the ordinary.

He stroked her hair comfortingly and assured her, "Isn't it normal for others to look at us? Eight out of ten people inside are watching, and the other two are still peeping!"

"I don't mean that! I'm talking about a full-blown stare! The kind of hate- filled glare with... bad intentions!"

Victoria gestured for him to understand her, but could not find an accurate way to describe what she meant. In short, she had a very bad feeling. Subconsciously, she muttered,

"I always feel like someone is staring at me. And last time, it felt like someone had pushed me... I don't know how to explain this; perhaps I'm overthinking it!"

Logically speaking, no one should be doing things like that to her! She was Trevor's lawful wife, and the person he was close to was not even in Casterwich City. No matter how intimate they were, it should not be disturbing to anyone! Why couldn't she shake off this odd, uncomfortable feeling then?

Victoria scratched her head frustratingly and looked around again. There were only employees in the restaurant, and there was nothing strange about them. Even a person like Madonna was not here...
