It seemed that everything he said had gone down the drain!

Frederick was done sugar-coating things for her. "I also want to live for myself! I won't be with you!" Whether in life or death, the person he loved was Alicia! He didn't want her to be sad. Even if he had to go to hell because of her, he wouldn't regret it!

Taking her illness into account, he couldn't bear to say the last sentence out loud and add salt to her wound.

However, what exactly could she do?

All kinds of possibilities flashed through his mind. He picked up his phone and dialed another number. "Chet, come in!"

There were only so many people he cared about. His grandmother had accompanied Miranda back to her hometown in the countryside. Danica might not be able to find where that was. Hence, the only person he cared about the most was Alicia!
