"Can I really wash off the dirt on me? Now that I have gotten rid of the suspicion of accidental murder, will I end up being charged for escaping prison?" Lauren thought to herself.

In a blink of an eye, the car had slowly pulled into a deserted mansion.

The car came to a slow stop. Suddenly, she came back to her senses and realized that she was in. an unfamiliar place. The European- style white colored architecture tinged with simple Mediterranean influences could not hide the place's low-profile luxury.

As far as the eye could see, it was empty and quiet here, with very few people around. Although the place was decorated with many flowers, it still gave off a chilly feeling. Standing still, Lauren felt like she was stuck at the door. Suddenly, she felt like there was a weight on her chest making her very uncomfortable.

"Where is this place?"

It was so desolate. Was this a place for his mistresses?

In Lauren's opinion, only such a place could be this luxurious, yet cold and lonely!

Seeing her trembling body which he thought was because of the cold, Willy took off his coat and wrapped her with it. "It's my house! From today onwards, you'll live here!"

Since she was pregnant with his child, it would only make sense if she lived at his place!

Before she could refuse, Willy had already pushed her into the mansion.

Lauren was in a daze all the way. When she entered the room, she felt a sharp pain in her arm. Only then did she remember something, and knitted her brows.

After closing the door, Willy put her bag aside. As soon as he approached her, Lauren slapped him in the face.

She was so angry that her whole body was shaking. If eyes could kill, he would have been chopped to pieces! Unfortunately, there was no way to turn back time, and nothing could make up for it.

The pain she was feeling - both physically and emotionally - that came from the betrayal of her lover, the plot of his, the unknown future and the sudden appearance of a little life sent her whole world to the point of collapse. Lauren was in complete despair!

Angrily, she gave him a hard push and walked to the door.

Even if the road ahead was dark, or even if there was no road ahead, there was no denying that she was wrong. She could not fall deeper into this pit; she could not stay there, and she would definitely not be the person he hid in his place! Even if she was a nobody, she wouldn't be pushed around like this by anyone!

His warmth, like magic, melted Lauren's heart. She felt her strength give way little by little.

Holding her tightly in his embrace, Willy struggled with his conflicting, mixed feelings.

When she finally calmed down, Willy lowered his head and gave her a gentle kiss on her hair, "Laurie, I'm sorry for hurting you."

His big, warm hand caressed the back of her head, again and again, comforting her.

Lauren unconsciously twitched her nose. She was deeply lost in his warm embrace. She unconsciously rubbed her head against his chest. When she spoke again, her voice was much calmer.

"Why did you lie to me? Why did you do this to me? There are so many different ways to go about things. Why did you choose the one that makes me feel the most uncomfortable?"

Originally, it was a simple trade - after he got her out, she would help him study the things he wanted. What they wanted from each other was clear; they would not get involved in each other's lives after that.

She didn't understand why he had to go to jail to see her, and even went so many times, and did such a thing to her. He even got her pregnant.

She wasn't someone who fell in love easily. However, being in such a lonely and helpless environment, and surviving those cold nights, Willing felt like god-sent, and he almost tore down every wall she had.

She wanted to say that she didn't care, but in truth, her heart ached for things to have come to this!

The whole prison disaster was only frightening, but not a dangerous misunderstanding or accident. However, he had messed up her life and all her plans. He caused a lot of trouble for her, but made sure all was good for himself!
