After her mother passed away, she never kept her hair long again. She hated dresses and things that made her look helpless and weak, including tears. In her memory, she rarely wore such well-fitting clothes!

She looked at the image in the mirror. No matter how she looked at it, she still thought it was an eyesore!

The more she stared, the more frustrated she became. Finally, she closed her eyes, turned around and walked out.

Willy entered the room while replying to messages on his phone. He looked up and saw that the bed was empty. Just as he paused, a soft sound came from behind him.

He turned his body and said, "You're awake?”

Once their eyes met, both of them were stunned. Lauren's hand was tugging at the hem of her clothes, whereas Willy was surprised by her beauty.

He walked up, his gaze sweeping over her. He raised his hand to caress her soft hair as a charming smile appeared on his face. "Clothes really do make the man!"

Compared to when she was in prison, she really looked like a model at the moment. It might not be her stunning beauty, but her unforgettable temperament.

Willy was not shy with his compliments as he said, "Gorgeous!"

It was obviously a compliment, but when it reached Lauren's ears, it sounded like he disliked her, or at least, disliked the old her!

The awkwardness made Lauren somewhat uncomfortable. In truth, she didn't like what she was wearing at all. It was not comfortable, and definitely not her style.

In her mind, someone who disliked her actual appearance yet loved how she looked when she was all dressed up, wasn't the person she wanted.

That was also the reason why she gave up her hobby of dressing up, and had only dated Zedd for so many years, and was even willing to take the blame for him - he had never forced his way into her clothing choices or even expressed any dissatisfaction towards it.

Lauren kept on tugging at the hem of her shirt. Before she could say anything, Willy spoke first, "Are you hungry? I'll bring you down to eat something!"

Willy saw that she was slightly uncomfortable, but he thought that it was because she had been in jail for too long, so he didn't think much about it.

He grabbed her small hand and said, "Let's go!"

He pulled her downstairs. In the dining room, on the table, there was a sumptuous dinner. On one side, there was a small cake. There were also two wine glasses, one with red wine, and the other empty. Beside it was milk and freshly squeezed orange juice. After he pushed her to her seat, Willy looked at her.

"What do you want to drink? Or would you like to drink some other juices? Anything for you!" He asked.

Whatever it was, it was still a good day. Willy felt that it was worth celebrating. Lauren did not expect him to have such a thought. All of a sudden, she felt a lump in her throat. She felt loved and cared for. This warmed her heart.

"Orange juice, please."

As soon as she said that, Willy poured a glass of orange juice and gave it to her. He lifted the cup and said, "Come, let's have a drink first! Laurie,

welcome back!"

As the glasses clinked, Lauren felt overjoyed. "Thank you!"

She took a big sip after that. The sour and sweet taste assailed her mouth. It was so, so beautiful.
