"Now that you're free, relax and enjoy life! I won't let you go back in there again!"

A gentle voice rang around the room. What he implied was that he would definitely help clear her off her accused crimes!

"Okay."

Having an inexplicable trust for him, Lauren didn't feel bashful anymore. She didn't know whether it was the effect of the medicine or because of pregnancy, she suddenly felt a wave of sleepiness crash into her, demanding that she go to bed immediately.

After washing up, Lauren picked up the nightgown. Immediately, she got annoyed. "Why is it a dress again?"

"How annoying! It's lingerie too!"

Looking at the tags that were yet to be removed, Lauren was angry. "I hate it!"

She wrapped herself with a bath towel. She decided to go looking for a T-shirt and a pair of shorts to wear.

She opened the bathroom door somewhat aggressively as she was still angry. Willy was opening a phone box. When he turned around, a glowing figure suddenly appeared in his sight. Instantly, he was dumbfounded.

Raising her eyes to look at him, Lauren was also shocked. "Why are you here?"

Her eyes followed his gaze and fell on herself. She hurriedly turned around and ran back to the bathroom. "F*ck!"

Holding the bath towel that could hardly cover her body, Lauren's face flushed. She was so regretful that she was spinning around in circles in the bathroom.

She then turned and looked around the bathroom. She found a large male bathrobe and put it on. She splashed some cold water onto her face to cool herself down before walking out again.

When she looked up, she saw that Willy was still there. Subconsciously, she tugged the bathrobe on her and pouted. "Why are you still here? Don't you know to knock before coming in?"

Fortunately, she had not come out of the bathroom naked!

Willy chuckled.

He then came up and said, "Sweetheart, this is my room! Where should I be if not here?" "Huh?"

What did he mean? He wouldn't be sleeping there, would he?

Lauren's eyes widened in shock. Willy raised his hand and pinched her slightly agape mouth, "You guessed it! I'm sleeping here tonight!"

"What?" Lauren cried out in surprise. Her entire face turned pale green. How could that be?

Without giving her any chance to comment, Willy stretched out his hand and pulled her into an embrace. "Why don't you try the phone I bought for you?"

The phone was already set up with all the basic applications installed. There was a note stuck on it. It was a new phone number!

After playing with it for a while, Lauren felt the rush of joy one got when receiving a present. A small smile tugged at her lips. She turned her head, and said seriously, "The phone is great, but I won't sleep in your room! Either you give me a guest room, or... I'll leave!"

Although she didn't have high hopes for marriage, she wouldn't be fine with just anything! She did feel a little guilty at the end of the sentence though - as if she was a hypocrite!

Because she knew perfectly well that she had nowhere to go. Her threat was obviously just a bluff.

He suddenly withdrew his arms and placed his chin on her shoulder, "Why? Are you afraid that I'll touch you?"

Tilting his head to sniff her neck as he said in a low and charming voice, "You need someone to take care of you! Even if I want to touch you, it's not up to me! It's already very late. Why don't we just put up with it for a day, and discuss it tomorrow?"

Lauren was embarrassed for being in a dilemma, and was afraid that he would expose her. Willy's voice was very soothing, confusing Lauren instantly; but it also reminded her that she was pregnant.

Hence, she nodded. "Okay!"

She rummaged through the closet but could not find a suitable T-shirt and shorts to wear. Finally, Lauren took out one of Willy's shirts and chose a pair of large, pure cotton sweatpants. She was ready to put up with it for the night.

He had always been alone. Although it was a large bed, allowing them to have a big space of their own, he was still not used to having someone beside him.

After pausing for a moment, Willy turned over and closed his eyes. Still, he was very much awake.

He was tired. Why couldn't he fall asleep?

"Damn it!"

He tossed and turned several times, feeling frustrated; but he subconsciously made sure that his movements were light and gentle. After what felt like forever, he finally turned his body to the side, and looked at the curled-up person, sleeping so peacefully next to him.

She was an uneasy person, yet she could sleep so soundly. He, on the other hand, couldn't fall asleep in his own bed!

Of course, he never thought that something like this would happen. Lauren was already a very anxious person, and because of him, she became more anxious. She had to have lost sleep every night. She must have not had any good rest at all.

Since it was a long day for her, and she had taken some medicine, Lauren was exhausted, both physically and mentally. Not even thunder could wake her up, let alone his shifting around.

After looking at her for a long time, Willy still could not figure out how she could fall asleep so easily.

How could she be so sound asleep in an unfamiliar place, but he couldn't? When they were in prison, he occasionally took naps, but why couldn't he do the same at home?

This was so frustrating!

Could it be true that the harsher and more difficult the conditions were, the more potential the person could be stimulated of and the stronger their adaptability would become?

Did this mean that their soft bed had become a minus point?

"What a tragedy!"

Willy tried to think hard, reflecting again and again. Suddenly, an idea flashed into his mind. He seemed to have figured out the problem!
