Alicia snapped back to reality. She shook off his hand with force and looked at him coldly.

She scolded, "If you are here to tell me the good news about your engagement, you don't have to. I already know that! How can I be absent from your... 'engagement' ceremony? It's so grand and full of sincerity!"

Her word was sarcastic, but even though she spurted out them casually, these words were like a sharp knife, stabbing deep into her heart. She recalled her wedding three years ago.

It was in the most famous five-star hotel in Bayton City. Countless prominent figures of the upper class were there. It was even grander than his current engagement ceremony... Yet, she became the joke of the entire city.

Those mocking noises seemed to still linger in her ears to this day!

Bayton City was her hometown, yet she did not know how long she had not returned there. At present, even at the mention of that place, her heart would still tremble.

She sneered twice, yet her body could not help but shudder due to the sudden mood swing. It seemed like she had used all her strength to say this word.

"It's not about that! Ally..." he called her.

Jeremy frowned and shook his head. When Jeremy was about to say something, his cell phone suddenly rang and he answered, "Dad-"

Alicia took this opportunity to turn around and left. However, she vaguely heard a woman's name and the word "marriage" from the phone call. She looked at the blue sky and felt an unprecedented sadness welling up in her heart.

It turned out that he had a fiancee!

Miss Castle? She had never heard of a woman with that surname!

From the beginning to the end, she wondered what kind of a liar did she fall in love with!

She quickened her pace and walked away with big strides.

As she was busy with her work, she suddenly heard the doorbell and a vague sound of shouting outside the door.

"Hey? What's going on? Did you forget your keys?" she asked.

Ever since they were together, the two of them had been living in Landrum Garden. Perhaps it was because Frederick did not come back regularly in the past. Hence, it was rare to see outsiders here apart from servants who came regularly to clean, repair, and provide supplies.

As she wiped her hands, Alicia ran out and shouted, I m coming!

When she opened the door, she stuck her head out to have a look. From a distance, Alicia saw a man driving a small delivery van. He waved his hands incessantly from outside the iron gate.

She paused. Alicia did not dare to open the door rashly. She shouted from a distance, "Who are you looking for?".

"Is this Miss Blanchard? I am here to deliver something, please sign here-"
