She chased after him all the way back to the room. Alicia said in a hurry, "Hubby, were you the one who gave me these earrings?"

"Hmph!" He turned to face her. Frederick's face was dark as if a shadow had fallen across his face.

"Hubby, why didn't you give them to me in person? Why did you use a delivery method? I've misunderstood you. I did not know how to deal with them. I was worried that you would be unhappy. Therefore, I threw them into the trash can because I was in a hurry!" she explained.

Alicia paced beside him. She was anxious and wanted to explain.
