Trevor's nerves seemed to have been pricked by something all of a sudden. He reflexively opened his eyes and suddenly bowed his head.

"You're awake! What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell? Or, do you want to go to the restroom?"

Getting up, Trevor subconsciously wanted to lift the quilt. He reached out, but Victoria grabbed him and shook her head gently.

As the lower half of her body was not in her control, except for eating and drinking, she needed others to help her out with almost everything. Urinating was all right, as she had a urine bag. However, defecating was a lot more troublesome. In her opinion, it was awkward and embarrassing!

During that period, he often did all those things for her. He could not do it well in beginning, and he was clumsy. However, it became different then. He was basically the only one who managed and took care of all her needs then. Just that alone had deeply moved Victoria!

It was said that we could identify genuine relationships during hard times. She had never thought that he would do all those things, which could be done by the servants. Yet, when he was there, she never needed anyone else. Even though he was so tired, he never lost his temper at her.

Trevor slowly raised the bed into an arc, adjusted her position for her and helped her sit up.

"Do you feel uncomfortable? If you feel uncomfortable, just let me know! We can have another check-up later! The hospital has imported the best medicine, and it will be delivered soon..."

She didn't want him to worry, so no matter how painful or uncomfortable she was, Victoria would try to hold it in as hard as possible. She smiled lightly and held his hand tightly as she said,

"Hubby, I'm fine! Go have some sleep, and take a few days off! You've worked too hard and lost so much weight! It's all my fault... I've dragged you into this!"

He caressed her tiny face and sat down beside her. Trevor hugged her but avoided looking directly into her eyes. "Silly girl, don't talk nonsense! I'm not busy. It's my pleasure to stay with you. I don't feel tired!"

Lowering his head, Trevor gently kissed her forehead, but his heart felt inexplicably heavy. The accident had really crushed their possibility of a happy future! However, he could not let it crumble!

It was his responsibility, and his duty!

She gave him so much happiness and wonderful moments. She had even been hurt and had suffered a lot for him. Perhaps it was God's punishment for him, which made what he got not to be perfect, and he would need to spend the rest of his life to make up for the girl he owed!

Although Trevor hated the accident and also longed to have a happy future with her, he suddenly realized that the days that the two of them spent with each other in the hospital had actually gotten them closer, and they became more considerate towards each other!
