He asked her with a firm tone. Frederick was very unhappy as he questioned, "Where did you go?"

It was just over eight o'clock in the evening. Yet, he still thought it was too late.

Alicia shook her head.

"No, I didn't cry. It was just windy at night and some dust got into my eyes! I went home to visit my mother and she made dinner for me. Hubby, have you eaten yet?"

Hearing her words, he remembered that she was used to living in her parents' home whenever he went on business trips. He thought that she yearned for her family and was not used to living a married life. Therefore, Frederick retreated his hands. He did not ask any more questions, but he was still unhappy and raised his eyes.

"What do you think?" he asked.

Did that mean that he hadn't eaten yet?

She placed her arms around his neck.

"Hubby, don't be angry! I didn't know that you would be back so early. I will cook for you instantly! How about some pasta? I can cook up some pasta really quickly!" she said coquettishly.

"Alright!"

After he nodded, Alicia smiled and withdrew her hands, "Wait for me. I'll change my clothes and get cooking soon!"

As she said this, she turned around and hurriedly went into the room.

After a while, the sound of footsteps came again. Frederick's cold eyes were filled with warmth when he saw that she was hurrying down the stairs with her hair tied up in a bun.

She rummaged through the refrigerator in the kitchen. Alicia cut some lean meat ham, took out an egg, prepared some vegetables, and prepared some pasta for him.

After cutting the carrots, she remembered that he did not like it. Hence, she took out a small plate and served the carrots separately.

Alicia was busy working in an orderly manner in the kitchen. Frederick was holding a glass of red wine at the door. He swirled it slightly. He was smiling with his eyes.

She placed the pasta into the pot before putting on the lid. Then, she turned to another side and stir fried the sliced onions. Frederick looked at her beautiful figure and his heart was beating fast.

"Hubby, your meal is ready! What's on your mind? Why were you lost in thought?"

When Frederick came to his senses, he saw Alicia standing in front of him with a smile, waving at him. He held her slender waist. Frederick lowered his head and kissed her passionately as if he wanted to eat her up.

"Alright, Hubby, your pasta, eat it quickly..." Alicia reminded him. He kissed her so hard that she almost lost her breath. Alicia pushed him away and quickly turned her head aside to point at the table.

The aroma of food filled the air, and Frederick finally let go of her.

After sitting down, Alicia handed him a fork and served him the pasta. She sat down beside him and placed the sliced carrots in front of herself.

She said, "Hubby, I'll eat with you!".

Even though it was just an ordinary plate of pasta, he still ate it gracefully. She chewed on the carrot slices happily. She was happy to see Frederick enjoying the meal.

She picked up another carrot.

"Hubby, this is so delicious. Why are you so picky about food? Being picky is not good! Carrots contain a lot of vitamins. It's very good for you! Look at my eyes. Look how beautiful they are. That's because I am not picky about food. Would you like a piece of carrot?".

She blinked her charming big eyes, took another piece, and held it in front of his mouth.

Frederick looked up at her and asked, "You are not picky about food?"
